Nah....your better sticking with your mate GT.....you can sit round and tell each other how "good" clubmen you are...while Jason Blake slogs it out as your "ruck".

I prefer the understated style of our current coach......never been one for "Hollywood"..cliches myself....

Im tippin when it comes to the charge out of your trench though......GT will be managing and you'll be out first.....

Nah, I'll keep moving forward with the club as I have done as a member for over 30 years without bad mouthing people who have made a positive contribution to the club I support.
Each to his own.

yeah, but don't let that get in the way of Bigmart's agenda- i was just making a point, and for the record i am a fence sitter on GT, he did some great stuff, but i am happy he was moved on as we have a smart coach in RL

Teflon - what should grant have done.......who should he have traded for and who should he have got?????

mind you, the benefit of hindsight may help you.....but still I want to see your solution.....

although I am not sure he was the only one who had a say in recruiting??????
was he????
I suppose for the benefit of your argument this time, he was.......he should take credit for S.Fisher then.

and started with an elite ruckman?????.......who was a cancer on the club at the time and like Lockett and Hall needed to move on for both parties sake....

As I stated and I'll say again.

Grant Thomas has already stated he WOULD NOT have recruited Michael Gardiner.

Is that the type of ruck selection that wins you GF's? is that the type of ruck selection youd still want at our club????????

Dont think so.

I'll say this bout Lyon - he BACKED himself to turn Gardiners troubles around and his payback today (and this year) has been enormous.

You dont win GF's without taking some risk.

As for who GT shouldve gotten over 5 years tenure - who cares. Hes gone and Im wrapt about it.

The point of the thread was that GT has stated that he would not have picked up Gardiner (or King for that matter) if he was coach of the Saints in 2007.

I shudder to think who our rucks would have been in 2009 if GT was still coach.

Lance or James??

There comes a point in every man's life when he has to say, "Enough is enough." For me, that time is now. I have been dealing with claims that I cheated and had an unfair advantage in <redacted>. Over the past three years, I have been subjected to a <redacted>investigation followed by <redacted> witch hunt. The toll this has taken on my family, and my work for <redacted>and on me leads me to where I am today – finished with this nonsense. (Oops just got a spontaneous errection <unredacted>)

SPOT ON.

Apparently that translates to criticising Grant....and is "un-clubman like".

Strange world.

Rix...and Blake instead of doing a grand job in defense would have still been punching below his weight as the No2.

Wonder which Club Ben would have been at?
