Harvey's gone, move on.

Great champion and club legend. But he has gone.

This current group is ut to make it's own history.

Time to tear down the Harvey avatars and stop holding on to the past.

Good to see he's getting on with life.

Yes totally agree. We should move on as well and if people want to mention Harvs it should be done in the other forum just like any other opposition player or coach.

I agree. Until such a time he returns to the club in some sort of capacity, to me it is "Harvey who?"

Completely disagree, Harvey is an all time great of this club and should be honoured accordingly.

If we were to win a flag this year it would have Harvey's fingerprints all over it...

Because of the amount he has done for this club, IMO if he wasn't there the likes of Dal, Montagna, Ball etc. wouldn't be the players they are today, make no mistake Harvey was an idol for those guys coming through and the example he set and the legacy he left will be at St Kilda for longer than he'll be around to see...

No a flag won this year/coming year's does not have Harvey's fingerprints all over it

Dal, Montagna and Ball would still be the players they are today, they wouldnt be poor players, they do have skill armoooooo and its not as if Robert Harvey got the best out of them and made them realise how to kick a ball

The legacy being create is from Ross Lyon and the players currently, they should/will be around in the coming mid-term and that is the legacy, not Robery Harvey's and not anyone elses

By your thinking we should say that our club has been set up by what has been transformed off the field, from andrew to roderick to gregory....

Those three men have had more to do with getting a premiership in 2009 onwards then Robery Harvey

No one is doubting the "values" and his contribution. If and when we win a flag, it will not have his fingerprints on it.

Motivation comes from within. You play to win a flag because YOU want it for yourself, not for another player.

Using your logic, then thie next flag will be covered in fingerprints starting with Plympon, Watson for geting us Roo and Kosi, Watts and Brooks for not clogging the list and allowing other to step up. Where do you stop?

If we win this year, it will be bacause of the 25 odd players that have put on the jumper, the coaching panel, the footy dept, the admin, and anyone else working behind the scenes.

If 35 was still palying or coaching us, then I'd agree.

Of course he is an all time great. He is one of the legends of the game, full stop. That is not in dispute. However, he is not at the club at the moment and it is time to move on. We have to get behind our current champions who are PLAYING the game.

A premiership this year is thanks to a myriad of people, not just Harvey. Most importantly, our players themselves. There is only so much a coach or anyone else can to do to get the best out of players. It is has to come from this group. It is THEIR desire and drive that will get us to the pinnacle and Robert Harvey himself would tell you that if you asked him.

We are 12-zip.

Harvey was retired at just the right time.

Kudos to Ross Lyon.

(and well done Banger!)

the guy would be fitter than both teams combined

i played a praccy match over here for my old club once and braden lyle from port was playing against us.
i swear to god he came off the back flank and had about 400 handballs and 156 kicks.
then went in at 3 quarter time for a shower
