Find your picture/photo or select one of your own
check it's properties = right click on the picture and go to the bottom "properties'
in the new window you will be able to check it's size-
Avatars should be NO bigger than 110 X 110
select the URL and then go to ' your profile' on SS and paste this to the area provided at the bottom - remember to ' submit' and not 'refresh'
If using one of your own photos you can get a 'URL' by uploading them to one of the following FREE sites.
http://photobucket.com/ or http://tinypic.com/
IF it's bigger than 110X 110 reduction is simple on either of these sites- which also give you a quick link to post onto your profile
TO SECURE your picture in case of deletion at a later stage- remember to save it on your system somewhere- even if just the picture so it can be re loaded if need be.
if someone else has 'Hosted' your picture and they update / clear out / drop out their system then you may lose it.
