I'm not an expert but I don't think that you can predict ligament ruptures using MRI.3rd generation saint wrote:Actually would be good if all players had a regular MRI on knees, might detect a potential rupture, which would mean the medicos (if possible) could take preventative measures such as resting the player in order for ligaments to heal.
Pretty sure that in Roo's case there is meniscus damage erather than a ligament problem hence the "clean-ups" from time to time.

I had a full reco last year and unfotunately, and its not something that happens over time. its usually caused by you knee going in a direction it shouldn't. caused by twisting or a blow to the knee (as was my case)3rd generation saint wrote:Actually would be good if all players had a regular MRI on knees, might detect a potential rupture, which would mean the medicos (if possible) could take preventative measures such as resting the player in order for ligaments to heal.
A champion is not defined by a number of wins, but by the courage shown to get up when your down
i think st kilda have paid for 2/3 of the doctors at the epworth to send their kids to scotch college, a new wing a few beamers for the missus.
be surprised if we switched hospitals given its an insurance/medical contract but i don't know these things.
as for an MRI concur, how do you know what you are going into the hospital for? could be to visit a friend or as many footballers do, charity visits for kids and the like.
and more than likely its that ugly dog from essendon Nanny McPhee who essendon fans squint and look sideways and pretend he's Roo.

If you go to the website and then click on "Our Services" you can see that Nick, if it is indeed him that we are talking about, could have been there for any number of reasons, including cortisone injections in the knee or anywhere else or shoulder hydrodilatation, as part of an ongoing management regime for his shoulder. In other words, seeing him walk in there could mean so many different things that it is meaningless--not unlike 3AW's "Rumour File."
At worst I imagine it's a check up to see how his knee has repaired, all prudent monitoring by our medicos.
Thank god he wasn't seen outside Tobin Brothers!
I saw a number of saints players outside Tobin Brothers last Monday afternoon.
They must have been planning to bury Collingwood that evening.

Now that I am old and know so much more, I know that I know so much about so little, and so little about so much.

Because there is an audience for it.ausfatcat wrote:Why does anyone even post something here from a phone in caller on SEN FFS?
The really bemusing thing is why would anyone who thinks it's a waste of time someone else posting such a rumour bother posting on the thread themselves.
