Right now we've got no realistic chance of finishing 4th. If we kept attacking and conceded a few extra goals then we'd be in the exact same position we're in now. If we took a chance and it didn't come off, we wouldn't have lost anything. But if we took a chance and we kicked a few extra goals then 4th spots could have been a very real possibility.

to those thinking that attacking with 5 mins to go last week was the difference I can tell you two more important things that cost us

losing against west coast and the pies for starters

missing some very gettable goals last week. the last four kicks for goal were all gettable....

Giving up a 6 goal lead to the Bulldogs... twice?

Playing bollocks football at home to Port Adelaide...

We'll end up winning by 12 goals, and regretting all the small things over the season.

Like Schneider and Milney's posters last week.

Or regret the big things like losing to Sydney so badly, getting beaten by WCE, and being run over by the dogs twice.

Yeah but those things are huge, and when you go back and think, wow if we kicked 2 more goals last week, it hurts a lot more.

Granted, we should never have lost to the dogs the first time around, but that was a looong time ago and we had plenty of time to fix it up.

Who gives a crap! Just win it! And keep friggin' winning! All the "what ifs" and nonsense like that is unimportant at this stage. I've seen us get to Prelims the hard way and then I've seen us lose Prelims the easy way. If we keep the foot on the gas we're a definate shoe in no matter who we play and where. Take the foot off the gas and we'd lose to just about anyone! Personally I think we've got some competitiveness back in our nostrils!

You can chuck us in a GF with the Cats and I'll still tell you not to count your chooks! Focus Saints focus!

When they created LENNY HAYES (in the shadow of Harvs) they forgot to break the mold (again)- hence the Supremely Incredible Jack Steven!!

our percentage hurts us every year

and every year there are always those saying after we struggle to beat a bottom side "it doesn't matter, at least we got the win!"

well yes, it does matter

our only hope is that the boys know that 100 points will get them top 4. i dont think there is a realistic chance of us getting in the top 4, but, if there is any chance, our players NEED to know what will get them there ;)

and if we wanna decide what was the moment that cost us the top 4, that would be the loss against west coast. our egos got the better of us after beating hawthorn and we let believed so much that we would win that we didnt give it 100% (which i'm sure is why port and freo won this weekend).

So...provided we win tomorrow, but NOT by the required 94 points, we're playing The Filth at the Dome, right? We better man up of Davis this time!
