It looks alright on TV, but at the ground it just feels like he turns over the ball quite often when you can easily see a better option for him to pass to.
It looked allright from level 1?

Yeah. I would also like to take it a bit further. CJ fully understands that his kicking skills are limited. What he has changed is that he now operates within those limitations making him a lot more reliable kick. He will never be a brilliant kick, but he is NOW a reliable kick. There is a massive difference !!
well said.

Is Jones butchering the footy or being burned because he "looks" like hes butchering the footy?

I dont recall AT THE GAME watching a Jones turn over anywhere near as bad as harveys ???

Is this some sorta "get Jones" crusade FFS?

The guy does a job weekly, adds enormous run and pressure and you need that level in finals. Jason Blake looks unco also.....do we drop all unco's? Gram at times looks unco? 9footy comes of his shin when given to much time to think...)

Jones has massively imporved his kicking IMO. He will never be a great kick...neither was Andrew Thompson.

It's not his kicking skills per se, it's his decision making, particularly when rushed, resulting in bad or low percentage options.

Once in space, he can spot up a target nicely, with his lob kicks.

An effective disposal on the stat sheet can still be sub-optimal

CJ doesn't turn it over as much as last year, but his disposal skills are still not up to AFL standard

Good back up, but if he keeps his spot in the firsts ahead of X or even Eddy it will be a disgrace IMO

Hope the players dont read this site.We had a great team win and some off you, still have to bag players. How many on this forum have actually played at this level, because there seems to be a lot of experts.Remember Eddy and Jones, have helped this team get to were they are too.

Chill out brother....forums like this one are designed to allow people to talk shyte without hurting anyone. We don't write for the Hun or anything, relax.

Most are just passionate about the Saints, and want a great team tweaked into becoming a contender for the Cats.
