Pretty sure Harvey marks himself harder than anyone else, and wouldn't front up for a GF if he thought he was going to be a liability.
Struggling to find your first post on this. But, can't disagree with the final points. The problem is, Harvey should NOT be the best in this regard, but unfortunately is. Others need to work harder to mirror the marvel.

i think that was my first post in this thread.

nothing unfortunate in Harvey being in the best 22.

on form I think statistically he is no. 87 in the league (or was a couple of weeks ago) given that 22*16 players take to the field weekly, Harvey is still in the top quartile of players in the competition, across the competition.

This isn't a reflection on st kilda, this is a reflection of Harvey the Player as he is.

now harvey 10 years ago, was in the top 1% of the competition, and certianly isn't racking up 40 possession games regularly, however he is still GOOD enough to contribute.

I would say Harvey is much like Matty Hayden, a bit past the prime, but still good enough to earn your place.

with the exception of the doggies and the cats, Harvey would walk into any midfield in the competition on form, and frankly I reckon Harvey is ahead of west at the dogs as well. Certainly wouldn't be their best midfielder (well maybe freo and essendon  ) but would be in their rotation.

Harvs mentioned Roo wanted him to go on next year...(or it was mentioned on BTG by one of the interviewers that Roo said it to him). I mean seriously...coming from Riewoldt, what more incentive do you need?? ;) :D

I'd love it if Harvs had it in him to go another season! I guess he doesn't want to fade out or overstay his welcome. I couldn't see anyone in the side hoping he'd pull the pin next year, he' still got so much more to give. Go Harvs!!!

When they created LENNY HAYES (in the shadow of Harvs) they forgot to break the mold (again)- hence the Supremely Incredible Jack Steven!!

if he fades i will be majorly saddened, he deserves a grand farewell

Anyone else disagree? Only one great way oit, and it starts with premier and ends with ship.
