I will be more than filthy... If Armo is dropped, Lyon will have lost me.

Im not off the bandwagon yet, but if were to do something so stupid as to drop our only goal kicking midfielder who plays like a younge bull, he will prove he has no coaching/selection talent whatsoever...

Gee, even reading such possibilities makes me so damn mad... Equally so if Rix were to be retained...

totally agree Sobraz. But it wont happen. You would have to be a total IMBECILE retard to drop Armitage. Wouldnt you... ROSS? Huh?

Armitage last week 47% gametime and copped a massive spray at 1/4 time.

My two bobs worth ...

Gards looked alert and ready to go. Ross Lyon spoke with him for some time on the field and he looked to be happy a pig in s…

G Train and Raph were spot on in their goal kicking at around 40 meters. Raph looks good and seems to look a little more confident after his stint with the Scorps.

Although I respect 'Bernard Shakey’s’ opinion regarding the train’s body language but it wasn’t what I observed. RL revealed in his press conference this afternoon that the big fella is suffering from arthritis in his hands, which makes it harder for him handling the ball but he hasn’t ruled him out this weekend.

Gwilty’s body looked a little leaner and since last time I saw him and I was impressed – He also did a little work around the goals at one stage and kicked pretty well.

RL also spent a bit of time talking to Milney in a one-on-one, with RL throwing his arms about, so there was definitely something going on there – both were in good spirits at the time.

I got there pretty late so I didn’t see everything and also didn’t do a head count but I didn’t notice Dal and Bakes had a bandaged leg.

Edit: Ye Bernard Shakey may be on the money after reading the press reports.

If he is two metres out. Can't kick. No point in persevering. Trade him asap. Same as CJ. Just get players who can kick. Forget the rest. Simple.

At first look I thought it was Greg Hutchinson (Casey Coach) but I'm not certain.

I don't think many would be unhappy with Raph Clarke taking goalkicking practise at Moorabbin on match days :D

Could not agree more Michael..

12 players in line for the chop before him...

Gives the midfield a bit of grunt and would be a good match up this week on Tuck or Johnson.

Armo looked like a man who had been told he's not playing this week.

The only possible reason he could be dropped is a discipline issue

On-field he has done everything asked of him and more imho

If the style of footy he plays isnt "following the game plan" then I'd be dreadfully dissapointed.

Happily admit that I know nothing of what transpires at training or behind the scenes on match day.

Peanut...2nd opinion? How did Armo look to you?

cheers for posting that brat.

now just to expand a little on that brief message.

As mentioned before, Gardy is in really fine form.

Milne, Ball, Blake, Harves, Baker, X, a couple of others i've forgotten were sitting on the sidelines just having a chat and stuff (they probably did more training before i got there, I'd gotten there fairly late as well. my bad!)

Roo was working one on one with an assistant coach just doing leading marks and taht sorta stuff.

Schneider looks fit, he was running laps at the end of the trainin sesison meaning, whatever soft tissue twang he had in the past couple of weeks have sorted themselves out.

Ben McEvoy was doing ruck work with Rix and then moved on to working with armo, cj and someone else (sorry guys, my memory is really shot right now, been a long day.) He seemed to be fairly good at what he's been doing.

Missing in action were Van Rheenen, most of the rookies actually...
and the most notable, Dal Santo.

he came out when everyone was going in after they'd all done.
Uh, didn't really get round to asking why he wasn't training, but when I saw him talking to some people on the fence he gave his shoulder a subtle massage. So possibly his shoulder is giving him some trouble and I'd assume he'd be having fitness tests done this week to determine whether or not he'll play.

But that's it from me i think... Everything's already been covered.

As Bernard Shakey said - either that or he was on the turps last night.

BS may know more than me about him - I don't go too much on body language at training myself and perhaps I am not as perceptive as others.

Everyone on our list was there, including rookies, except for Joey, Van Rheenan and Sam Gilbert.

Dal did most of the session, but did leave the track early.

Don't know where Joey was. He may have had the day off.

I saw Van Rheenan before the session outside the ground. I believe he may be having some sort of op this week.

Well interesting read...

The good news would seem to be Gardi and Schneider will both be back.

No disrespect to Schneider who will be good....but Gardi is the HUGE in that we need.

Rix out for Gardi.

Sounds like Armo may be the one to make way for Schneider.....stiff indeed...but someone has to go. I would be tempted to delete one of L fisher or Birrs instead.

GTrain as a surprise inclusion?????? Well if they do...I hope that they stick to 2 key forwards and not three.

In G's favour Kosi will be more effective in the ruck agaisnt the Tigers than he was against the PA duo.

Personally I would stick with Roo and Kosi as our two main forwards
