hope young Van Rheenan gets a game - huge potential in that kid. RL is just using the game to run blokes into fitness - as he should be doing. Not going all out for a win.
I want to stand for something. I'm a loyal person and I think at the end of my career it will be great to look back and know that I'm a St Kilda person for life.

Re: no steven king against old side
I think M Gardiner and King.vantheman wrote:tactics?
Gardiner and Rix to do the ruck work?
Againts the Tigers Gardiner started in the ruck...I am guessing that RL wants to build his fitness and match conditioning by giving him lots of rucktime.
M Gardiner from the two games I have seen this year is "rusty' and needs lots of football match practice to improve, which he needs to do to graba spot in our best 22.
King by contrast I see as ready to play now....and so just needs minimal game time to have him in his prime for Round 1.

Probably easier to list who is not in the side. Bold is players who played last week.
2. King
4. Nobody
5. McEvoy
7. Hayes
12. Riewoldt
13. Schneider
14. Ball
16. R. Clarke
18. Goddard
21. Ferguson
24. Dempster
31. Maguire
33. Gwilt
35. Harvey
43. Attard
46. Haretuku
I expect King and Harvey were planned rotations, Raph has been well documented also.

I'm not having a go at you here, I'm just curious...how do people so often manage to post in the wrong thread? I just don't know how one would be completely oblivious to all of the posts on their screen.riccardo wrote:EDIT: wrong thread.
I guess it would have to be a thread you have already read and you know what you are going to post before you even open it, hence not reading any other posts in the thread or even just scrolling to find the reply button.

as for anyone else - you'll have to ask them. I'm not particuluarly invested in this topic, so rather than make something up (and, inevitably, have to defend my viewpoint) I was honest and admitted it was an error.

So must be slimmed down yet.
Both teams are missing some quality players....so should be an interesting hit out.
four to come out...........

Naming a squad of 30 is pointless.
Might as well hold off till they can name the actual team.
It is not as though we are playing mind games because it is an important game.
