Dud,,its easy to become cranky when you read a "supporter" continually sledging two of our players.

Whilst you are of course entitled to your opinion, IMHO your perennial and childish bagging of the Clarke brothers (including using your av) is becoming very tiresome

Must be better than the other one's. HAs to be. X and Raph, well what do I say. They wont get us a premiership. R Clarke hasnt lived up to expectations and both are soft. Fiora any day because he can win you a game by those hangers and not a bad kick.
Mick Mclean out of the NT said in a article this year that RAph is the most or one of the most talented players to come out of the NT. Still waiting Raph. Where are you??
X plays one good game in 10. Sorry Clarks. Both frustrating to watch.
Talented though. Give them that but both injury prone.

X soft - my arse! you didn't happen to catch the final against melb in '06 when he almost killed himself going hard at the ball?!
Raph hasn't proven himself in this dept. but a long way from soft I reckon.

as for kicking, X's field kicking is generally superb, top five kicks to position at the club I would say

as for accuracy in front of goal, they're on a par, though Fizz's shots were probably on average more difficult - 07 stats
X - 10.16
Fizz - 12.19

Raph will come good, has footy smarts and is a good size, just needs a decent preseason this year and to lift his intensity. laconic style but can be very effective.

always remember to open your eyes when you watch the footy, it really helps

I thought this year X was going in harder and tackling more than he did before his injury ridden years but watched a game from 2005 this morning and he was throwing himself around even then with out concern for his body.

um, excuse me, i have never once bagged out X Clarke, i actually think he is in our best 22, all he has to do is fix up his set shot accuracy and he'd be a gun

my first response to this topic was clearly a light hearted one, but obviously not clear enough for some...

yes, i bag out Raph, but only because he continually gets a game ahead of better candidates, and its hurting our team, and he never seems to learn frm his mistakes

would u rather me sledge Blake, or Rix, or Gardiner (either one) or Milne, or Jones, or Dempster, or Fiora, as they are seen as the "acceptable" targets

no, i have defended and given support for each of those players, so i would rate myself a better "supporter" than alot around here

some posters need to come down off their high horses i think.....

X is better than Raph. You talk about one episode with that mark in 06. What else has he done? Both are soft. Trade Raph. X plays one good game in 10. Maybe that was the game you were talking about, the good one. I know which one.
X used to go in hard

was actually two acts in that game, that was just an example, plenty of courageous efforts in 2007 as well
the only probs with his game are number of possessions and goal kicking
if he can improve on them he will be a gun
easily in our best 22

Raph is a lot better than Kepler Bradley

i know this post is probably not necessary, but i think this thread highlights the hypocricy of a few posters, and shows how it is easy to suddenly ignore things when it doesn't suit your agenda

What are you talking about X always goes hard at the ball, name one incident when he's pulled away.

Exactly.

X's problem is that he goes in TOO hard.

Throws himself around with reckless abandon. Always has.
