It has been confirmed that Steve HArrison has retired from VFL football and will be the playing Coach of MPNFL club Chelsea... Pretty heartbreaking day for the club as a Scorpion Member...

He was offered more money and a longer contract...not to mention the Queensland weather.

Not a difficult choice in the end.

They were dissapointed with the treatment of BAnfield, whether right or wrong (i'm not arguing that right now) the way the club went about it leaves alot to be desired, a fear growing among the players is that the club might not be out to win games anymore...

Why on earth would the Casey players be fearful that the Scorpions wouldn't want to win games now?

There's no benefit in tanking in the VFL - there'd just be oblivion with an approach based on not being out to win games anymore.

Any knowledge of why they would think that iceman?

The issue for the Casey/Springvale faithful is that they see St. Kilda as using the VFL as a proving ground for our youngsters. This means playing players based on their development, rather than putting the best team on the park that day.

Think of it as treating the VFL like an extended NAB cup, play the kids and try new things. Winning is considered secondary, from a St. Kilda point of view.

i have no doubts that watts will play at the dogs...

why would we need raymond??? he struggles to get a game in the casey firsts...

brookes would look to go home maybe???

i think sweeney is still a chance at cracking the big time...maybe this is the boot he needs...time will tell

and thats my two cents

It actually wouldn't surprise me to see someone who needs a ruckman giving Brooks another chance as a low pick in the PSD. I can actually see Carlton picking him up.

Rohan Welsh is a quality coach. Would be a good pick up.

I doubt any of the Saints players will get picked up. Not good enough IMO.
