Where did you get those stats from Dan???
I thought that Schneider kicked a few against us in 05... & played very well in a low scoring GF in 05 as well.
Thanks for the clarification MSG.
He's not the messiah but if we get him he compliments what we've got very well. Not everyone can or does average 25 touches and 3 goals a game.

he's a 14 to 15 possession a game midfielder/forward who averages 1 goal a game.
pretty sure milne had a blinder in the 06 final against melbourne.
at 23 there is potential for him to get better.
his return from H&A games from strong teams is 1/2 his return from weak teams.
these are teh facts.
he is not the saviour, he is a solid to good GOP with potential to be better.

Atleast we know what we are going to get with him, and IMO he is worth pick 26 easily, sure with that pick we could get a superstar but it is unlikely, I say if these deal was possible we should take it no questions asked, and if they throw in Dempster even better, even if he can't make the 22 atleast we would have some more depth and competition for spots...Dan Warna wrote:he's a 14 to 15 possession a game midfielder/forward who averages 1 goal a game.

Schneider is like a footballer version of Stephen Milne. If we get that trade over the line, as per the scenarios guessed at by the media, then we have done brilliantly.

concur pick 26 is a fair swap for himArmoooo wrote:Atleast we know what we are going to get with him, and IMO he is worth pick 26 easily, sure with that pick we could get a superstar but it is unlikely, I say if these deal was possible we should take it no questions asked, and if they throw in Dempster even better, even if he can't make the 22 atleast we would have some more depth and competition for spots...Dan Warna wrote:he's a 14 to 15 possession a game midfielder/forward who averages 1 goal a game.

throw in round 4 pick for dempster, or trade round 3 picks for with dempster thrown in.

haha yeah he had 16 disposals and 2 goals..not to mention about 4 mistakes. it was a servicebale game, far from a blinder.savatage wrote:I'm pretty sure you're delusional Dan!Dan Warna wrote: pretty sure milne had a blinder in the 06 final against melbourne.
anyway... i hope we get schneider because he is exactly what we have been looking for. a midfielder who can run hard and also give us a scoring option. i hope that if we did get our hands on him, hed play forward as another small forward along with milne because i believe this works best when there are two small forwards, as dan said it helps confuse the opposition. and also he would really add another dimension to the midfield, which would be great because imo this is our biggest weakness - lack of midfield depth. but i guess we can talk about all that if and when we do get schneider..until then.. im happy to give up a 2nd pick/fish to get him
Destiny. It's in our hands.
Harder. Better. Faster. Stronger.

Roos has stated he is after pace....why then trade schneider for fish.HarveysDeciple wrote:Leigh Fisher and 26 for Schneider and Dempster.
If that is the trade, then we lose out.
Can't think of too many times sydney has traded to disadvantage in the past 6 or 7 season.

Don't worry Dan - we owe them a few hidings in this regard. I hope they bend over and take it.Dan Warna wrote:Roos has stated he is after pace....why then trade schneider for fish.HarveysDeciple wrote:Leigh Fisher and 26 for Schneider and Dempster.

at one stage I thought we might get jude bolton a couple of years ago, but he was overpriced, happy at sydney, and not 1/5 the player that lenny is. Even Roos knows that bolton isn't getting better and shopping around on reputation.
IMO pick 26 for schneider is a 'FAIR DEAL' but I guess sydney don't do fair deals ><

Bolton won't go anywhere. Worth more to Sydney than to other clubs.Dan Warna wrote:concur, I would love to steal a genuine gun of sydney.savatage wrote:Don't worry Dan - we owe them a few hidings in this regard. Pick #26 for Schneider alone is extremely acceptable.

Personally I hope that it comes prior to 2pm tomorrowSaintBot wrote:Should I be worried?
The longer I have to wait for an official announcement is starting to make me more and more certain that we won't be receiving Schneider.
Hopefully an announcement comes sometime in the next few days.

Ross seems adamant that not a lot is going to happen with the said players involved.
Roos admitted that midfielder Jude Bolton and small forwards Amon Buchanan and Adam Schneider were more than likely to stay at Sydney despite their names being floated by the club during trade talks.
"Things have been blown out of proportion a little bit with them (Bolton, Buchanan and Schneider)," Roos said.
"I'm almost certain nothing is going to happen with them (in trade week). We are not going to give any of them away for nothing, that's for sure."
