Rather a key forward have guns than spaghetti arms!!!
King and Sharman lack strength- only one way to get it
Throw some fkn weights around
Stewart Loewe didn’t lack for size - in fact very few key forwards do?!
Guns don’t make a poor mark better at marking - being good at marking is something you either have or not (Reiwoldt had it, Buddy doesn’t)
But being strong makes a good mark a better mark!
King is easily moved off the footy
Sharman cannot even come close to holding down a KP

That's not true, he's had 7 opportunities.Teflon wrote: ↑Fri 08 Jul 2022 12:19amCorrectspert wrote: ↑Thu 07 Jul 2022 10:57am Hayes has only played a handful of games- took everyone by surprise in his first game, played workmanlike otherwise, but jeez I would want to see a lot more before I could make judgement. Playing Sharman in the ruck, totally stuffed his game against the Swans, and if you want inexperienced forwards to settle and improve, you don't throw them into the ruck and then expect them to impact as a forward- one of Ratt's more questionable moves. King needs to play high, Membrey deep, and Paddy maybe more time deep forward...very silky skills for his size.
Reality is we don’t even know if Sharman will make it cause facts are he hasn’t had the chance yet

Re: Discussion regarding Forward Setup
Would trying Leinert as a key forward first at sandy and see how he goes.
He is big has a huge kick and is very mobile would give us a point of difference and defenders often turn into forwards.
Nothing to loose by trying it.

Re: Discussion regarding Forward Setup
Sharman might be skinny but he has something many AFL footballers lack. Footy smarts.
