Some of the turnovers, skill errors and decision making - not to mention the shots on goal we missed, have to be addressed.
Would we have been so poor with Ryder, Jones and Hannebery, not to mention Clark and Billings in the side? I doubt it.
We kept giving away free kickes in the centre which directly led to shots on goal - if we do that against a team in the top 12 teams this year we will get absolutely thrashed, like we were several times last year by Essendon, Richmond, Port Adelaide, and Footscray - you could probably add Carlton to that list although we at least fought that game out a bit better.
It comes down to having close to your best team out on the ground as often as is possible, and since Round 7 2019 we have very rarely been able to do that.
Forget birth certificates - and who is likely to be there next season - Ryder and Hannebery play every week they can, and bring in guys who can have an impact like Sharman and Long. Hell, Sharman had an impact the moment he came omn in that practice game against Essendon and should have been in the team Friday night.
Long and Sharman + impact.
Ryder and Hannebery + players who straighten us up. Structure.
