They can replace him now. We’re going nowhere with Carlisle clogging up the backline and putting in dismal efforts!

Errr it was even - scores say it was even - disposals say it was even - frees say it was even - clearances were evenTeflon wrote: ↑Mon 24 Aug 2020 1:07amStats again!!Devilhead wrote: ↑Mon 24 Aug 2020 1:02amWe had one more inside 50 - 39 to 38SaintDippa wrote: ↑Mon 24 Aug 2020 12:53am Lions kicked behinds but you could argue if membrey left it, Sinclair can kick 25m chest high, King holds half the marks he got two hands to and - again I'll go on about it - more thinking about F50 entries we could have been many goals up at the half.
But hey lets trade Billings cause he went missing for a few quarters trying to shake a hard tag
We had 1 more inside 50 so must’ve been an even contest all day cause the stats say so??
They just took their chances inside 50 - we didn't - the Membrey block on Billings in the 1st Q would have been a score attempt - the non mark to Membrey on the 3Q siren was another scoring attempt gone missing.
Twice Butler ran inside 50 and could have had a shot and decided to pass - that's 2 more - Max kicks across the face of goal 3 metres out on an angle in the 2nd quarter - there's another
There were probably more gilt edge chances to score but unfortunately it was one of those days
The Devil makes work for idle hands!!!

Probably missing 3 years on Max King. A 23 year old King wins us the game game yesterday.

Re: What are we missing....
What we miss is consistency, this is a team that beat Richmond and Port Adelaide and managed to lose to Fremantle and north Melbourne, there’s far too big a difference between individual best performances and worst performances.
At a micro level we see it far too often in players play a couple of good games then a couple of bad games then get replaced by a player who repeats the same cycle. I’m thinking of lonie, Phillips, savage, hind, Parker, McKenzie, Sinclair, marsh.
In the era of drafts and salary caps we need over time too replace these players not with superstars (we couldn’t afford them) but with dependable solid contributors think Paton and Wilkie as examples.

Re: What are we missing....
Midfield depth, midfield depth and possibly midfield depth. But we all know that.
What else are we missing. Our mechanism into F50 is still a work in progress, our game plan got some exposure a month ago around the time of the Port victory when our F50 mechanism worked well, since then a few things have happened, we've tired, we've lost quality players in the midfield and other teams have put work into combating our attempts to improve our potential to score which was clearly about getting a shot on goal within 25m of goal.

Gresh.
I'm also missing info on what the plans (not guidelines) are for D. Mc Kenzie, D. Langlands, R. Byrnes and E. Phillips.
Also, someone that plays like Coff but up forward. I think he could probably beat D. Kent in most aspects of the game ? possibly not left foot king.
