Re: Zak Jones
Love his run and aggression - the fact that he's a genuine ball-magnet is a nice surprise too. Great addition to the midfield and a huge upgrade on Dunstan. His kicking was sloppy early but he really tidied it up after the first quarter. I don't think he's a bad kick technically, he just attempts a few too many long bombs while running at top speed.

Re: Zak Jones
Loved the sublime Bont pass to Billings that resulted in a goal.
Nice goal assist, Bont.
It was delicious irony!

We should have two Zac Jones

This thread has nothing to do with McCartin and Petracca.
Why don't you f*** off with your daily paddy whack. It was 6 years ago, time to let it go.

Re: Zak Jones
It was no more than a fleeting impression but he stood up in a tackle I think in the second quarter and I thought to myself this guy has a strong core and is getting to the physical level where he can dominate. Exciting times.carn_sainter wrote: ↑Mon 15 Jun 2020 3:00pmI was really impressed with Billings too. He played a mentally tough game - something I've been critical of with him. In all the areas of his game where he had to improve, he showed improvement.
I'm really impressed with how even the contribution was. Billings also did his part and didn't try to be anything more or less than that.

Apparently he is no good anyways... that’s what they keep saying.
Watching on Saturday - he looked like the bull freak we could definitely do with.

I reckon more like BJ minus the dummy spitsSanctorum wrote: ↑Mon 15 Jun 2020 6:07pm Jones epitomises what Brett Ratten wants from his midfielders - aggression, blinding speed, run into space and deliver the ball to leading forwards.
Zak is the sort of hard nut player St Kilda have lacked for years, when he attacks the ball opponents get run over - he's a smaller version of Big Bad Barry and will run through a brick wall for the team, which commands respect from team mates and opponents alike.
