We were convincingly beaten right across the ground. I can’t imagine one player even crouch in the middle could’ve helped us.

Liam Stocker had the best centre clearance conversion numbers of any mid out there today.

He attended 6 centre bounces for 2 centre clearances. He should have been in there a few more times 😕

McInerney destroyed Marshall in the ruck. We all love Ro, but tap work is not his forte. We desperately need decent midfielders.

We missed Billings floating across the ground tonight. He would have fitted right in.

I don't think it was a game full of poor individual performances, but if anyone should be targeted its the contested ball players. Pou the exception, he was great. I also thought Owens showed a lot in the contest.

So did our coaches, why did they allow players up the field to bomb it high and long. A bit of kaos ball going in would’ve been a much better option considering we were being out muscled and marked all day.

Lions v.well drilled, v.fast, been together several years, lot of finals experience, several super stars. We were well off form but certainly put in, just overwhelmed by class. Simply emphasised what many have been preaching on here for yonks, we need big skilled mids & another mobile ruckman.
Lions are reaping doing well with its early draft picks and father son concessions. Just too good for us.

I feel for Brisbane
They probably win the flag this year and have to put up with another no 1 draft pick?
What a mediocre , amateur competition we have …

That's the bitter truth. Not one player could say that he beat his opponent on today's game. Lions a very experienced and well drilled side against a team of scrappers missing a several of polished AFL players. Yes I believe we have some class need to get these missing players fit and confident ready for 2025.
Lyon should look at experimenting with some youth (Heath, Garcia etc) the last three games, what's there to lose?
