Great to still see Milne in a St Kilda jumper and singing the song!

The former admin took us from losers to 2 prelims and a final from being a bottom feeder 2 years before.

The newbies have followed on to take a maturing group to the most unbelievable streak ever.

We have been blessed with both administrations and coaching departments and staff.

Its so obvious and it is such a wonderful turnaround.

The fact that some people still blame one person for us not winning at least 1 or 2 flags over the past few years, really says something. Not about the person they blame - but the person laying the blame.

Two things...

1) If you allow someone else to be in control of things that impact you that greatly, then you only have yourself to blame.

2) If you can't identify situations that are beyond your control, and don't acknowledge that frustration and anger are therefore a complete waste of time - then you only have yourself to blame.

I know this is a forum, and discussion is what it's all about. But the bitterness and tantrums, and blame and scorn over something that happened over 3 years ago is really quite disturbing.

where does blaming the club for the "loss of your football passion" come into this lecture on life?....it does scream "Hypocrite"

Hows 19-0 working for your "saints/football love?"....or are you being impacted by something "out of your control" and wasting needless energy on it...

Why, when Thomas says 'I would have sacked Milne if I wasn't sacked first' it is taken as gospel and referred to as being 'on record'.
I believe him
rodgerfox wrote: Yet when he says things like 'I bleed red, white & black'

I believe him. It does not mean that I do not also believe that his desire to be the guy in control clouded his judgement.
rodgerfox wrote:

Fact is he never stood down despite "better" people becoming available after he started.

And remember that GT started as a coach under a lie...as BOTH he and RB have now admitted the process to hire him through competitive interviews was a sham.
So basically, according to you he has very ordinary track record when it comes to telling the truth - yet you believe him without question when he says he would have sacked Milne?

Sounds about right.

Wow.

Next time you post, just slow down a bit. It comes across as incoherent nonsense.

Where do I start with this one??

"where does blaming the club for the "loss of your football passion" come into this lecture on life?....it does scream "Hypocrite""

I have no idea what you mean by this. I've never blamed the club for my 'loss of football passion'. My loss of football passion is a combination of growing up, and not enjoying modern professional sport that much anymore.

So I'm unsure what you mean by this??

And as for "Hows 19-0 working for your "saints/football love?"....or are you being impacted by something "out of your control" and wasting needless energy on it..."

I don't even know how to respond. Perhaps you can be clearer with what you're trying to say. It makes no sense to me and doesn't appear to have any relevance.

RF - you can pull all the stunts you want to try and discredit other peoples logic, but the facts are:

GT stated he would have sacked Milne (I suppose being traded to another club counts as bing sacked from your present club)

OTHER people (I believe Ken Sheldon and Ross Lyon, but stand to be corrected) have said they "took Milne off the trade table", that is other people, NOT GT. So therefore, there would seem to be statements on public record that collaborate that, indeed, S Milne was to be moved on from Moorabbin at the behest of GT.

Why is that so hard for you to simply accept and move on?

And whilst I am not interested in debating anything, let alone human behaviour, with you, please stop with the flawed logic that because GT behaved a certain way on one occassion then he must behave the same way on another occassion.

Hang on, I think you're on the wrong track here.

I for one, couldn't give a rats scrotum as to whether or not Milne was a Saint, is a Saint, should be a Saint, shouldn't be a Saint, whatever.

I, at no point, have argued either way on this. I couldn't care less. For all we know, we could have got Chris Judd in the trade for him.

The only question I've asked, is why do people pick and choose what Thomas says to be 'fact' and 'on record' when 90% of other things he says are written off as lies?

Surely that's a fair question and one in context with the brilliant thread that this is.

You mean he 'bleeds red white and black'?.... are you on drugs?

Or that he would step aside for a better coach?.... did he?

What are some of the other 90% of things he's said that are written off as lies?
