Those figures don't fit in with Rodger's view on the AFL/St Kilda world and therefore are lies!!!!!
I hope you've posted these figures in his'Passionless Thread'?
Seriously though, according to these figures we're 1000 down on last years figure with approx 2 weeks to go to compare properly.
It doesn't appear from these figures that the membership 'revolt' has had much effect although you'd probably need to wait until the June 30 total to really know anything definitively?
given there is a week's differance in figures and any new memberships over the last week or so would not yet be counted - it will be easier to compare at end of week
and if you check a couple of posts ago- we are still ahead of the tigers who were experiencing a membership 'surge' on the back of BC
I'm just surprised at the pies numbers-in the past their figures have been well hidden till accounting time or unless they are 'making' news- ie hen they hit 40,000 a couple of years ago- they haven't matched that since so you hear nothing.

Whilst the figure sounds promising (up 700 on last year) I'd like to know what impact the 'rollover' had had - how many of the rollover became members last year later then this point in time?
If it was more than 702 then we are actually behind last year's figures.

Good point.
Reserved seats are also up by 715 from this time last year
Don't wait for the light at the end of the tunnel to appear, run down there and light the bloody thing yourself!

HAHA!
It's nice to see you actually contacted the club again, just as I suggested. Weren't those 3 pages of abuse worth it then? Don't worry, I won't tell your mates.
By the way, since you posed the question, two of those members are me and mini-degruch. Good luck at the AGM, give 'em hell tiger.

I really fail to see these so called 3 pages of abuse, to me you are the one that insulted me.
Anyway, Archie was good enough to reply to me at 9:49pm last night and he is still on holidays, which to me says a lot for his desire.
A good deal of it was "corporate speak" and he responded in CAPS to each point I made.
But, I do give him credit in responding at such a late hour and whilst not at the Club.

Well, you didn't abuse me as much as some of the other fanatics. Whatever...it's old news now. However, that's encouraging news re: Archie St Fid. The way I see it, you guys are right on the money to be annoyed, if you push it with Archie I can't see how the bleeding obvious can't result in a positive outcome for the members affected.
By the look of things the "Rollover" membership idea is really starting to work with memberships up on this time last year. It is between now and the start of the season where we really need to gather momentum with our membership numbers.
A realistic target for this year should be 33,000-35,000, with a 40,000 target for 2010-2011 !!

But as previously mentioned a lot of signed up members could be roll over members who may have signed up close to season start in previous years........
So sign ups could drop off near season......
won't know where we are at until well into the season.
Tigers are spruiking 20,000 but their website says AFL audit figures-Ie match day are 18,379 ( date is 19/1/09)
with 5,191- non game day members Friday 31/1 update 20,129 match day- 5,556 Non game day
with saints on 19/1/08 - 19,262
for future referance the Saint sideline counts with in the clubs finances but because it only includes 3 games does not count in AFL accounting- BUT AFL membership with club allegiance DOES count in AFL member audit.
