Rubbish. If we played like this anywhere we would be in the same position. Effort and disposal are what count here.White Winmar wrote:Four goals down the worst team in the comp. If it was at Etihad, we'd be up. I guess we're doomed to these s*** experiments in nowheresville.

Midfield clearances and clear winners are needed to make an effective forward line.

Every time I look up they have the ball and are running with it. I guess it will just take these young guys some time to find consistency

We're still in it. Lions renowned for poor finishes all we have to do is hit our shots i am still very confident.

Re: Match Thread v Brisbane in NZ
yes we have been terrible. But can the umpires sit down and read the rules about the holding the ball decisions? You take on the tackle and get caught it's holding the ball. Simple, not grey, it's bloody black and white.
Despite this we do not deserve to win. We are falling down in so many basic skill areas. Have not been this angry about a display for a long time.

Not gone at all but certainly need to make better use of their opportunities.perfectionist wrote:Gone!
At least the effort seems to have improved. Disposal still a worry to our forwards . Seems to go over Nick's head way too much. His advantage would to have it in front on him.
Some said it, we miss Sneid's creativity so much

We play away from our home ground when we play other teams at their home ground. Bet Brisbane were a lot happier playing us there than at Etihad.kalsaint wrote:We've got to get over the safe haven approach of Etihad Stadium. We need to up the forward pressure to stop the simple run by Brisbane fro defence. This would be a tart to repairing this. The secon part is not to give it back to them so easily by poor disposal efficiency. Okay we also need to protect the ball carrier to get them the time to dispose the ball correctly.
However, we did play better that quarter but didn't impact the scoreboard enough.
Except for the sanity nothing much has been lost.
Re: Match Thread v Brisbane in NZ
Billings and Saunders missing easy shots then Brown converting on a tight angle at the end of the quarter is a killer

Eli has a broken arm, gone for awhile, might be time for Weller to have a go.
The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?
Re: Match Thread v Brisbane in NZ
What the hell is the free kick count? Seeing as they're not paying holding the ball.

Yep, poor effort but FFS, it appears if you are in a Brisbane jumper you can ignore the rules for the most part. The umpires certainly won't hold you to them.
Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons; for you are a quick and tasty morsel.
