Some bastard stole our flag

Just got back from the GF -- left home at 4am, back at midnight after watching replays -- only to discover our Saints finals flag had been ripped down off our front porch and stolen.

Probably some Collingwood supporters being complete dickheads.
Possibly some St Kilda supporters who wanted it for themselves.
Either way -- behaviour that is completely astonishing and depressing.[/img]

All the crest is hand done.
We're obviously upset.
We made it for hanging off the Olympic Stand at the 1997 Prelim against North. (Only lasted a few minutes before they made us take it down. But it has genuine MCG mud stains on it from that magnificent match.)

It was highly secure (-- though evidently not completely secure.)
It would have taken several minutes to cut it down.
We had it up for a month at a time, throughout every Saints' finals campaign since 1997.

Must of been the day for it.

I spent the day at a very good friends house with about 10 other very good friends.

we all put money towards a in house compition $10 betting on first goal, norm smith, winning margin and a few other things here and there.. winner takes all.

Over night, or possibly at some point last night- but unlikely, most of the money has been taken.
we are all good friends- rather we thought we were.

I hope your flag is found/returned. Ill to keep an eye out.

Sorry about your flag avid. Unfortunately, we live in a society where if you don't nail it down it will be taken. In this case, even nailing it down was not going to help.

On a side note, I like how the cars in front line up as red, white and black (although it could be a very dark blue but my screen it looks black!).
