WE were taking a few pics of Saints flags today and saw that Tommy Bent is wearing a Coll scarf - PLEASE someone from Brighton get up there and rip the thing off?
Is anyone decorating him in the true colours this year?
This is vandalism of the highest order.

I plan to visit TB's statue sometime on Sat night.
I figure supporters will congregate there.
Might be a good spot to sing the song with gusto!!!!!!

Well his true colours are not showing - he needs dressing up before Sat night or you will be drinking under a Coll scarf!

Any chance of anyone getting a Saints flag above the 1956 Olympic Swimming Pool site?
I once spent a year in Adelaide, I think it was on a Sunday.

if he does somehow appear in our colours before the game it will be collingwood fans trying to reverse the hoodoo.
too late for them though. the damage is already done.

He's been moved since '66 anyway. Most people would not even notice him as they drive by now.
Time to decorate is Saturday night (Sunday morning) on the way home from Sierakowski's pub.
Old enough to repaint, but young enough to sell

Tommy Bent...a very "colourful" character. And certainly important in the history of the whole bayside area.
He will be wearing St Kilda colours after the Premiership!
Bentleigh is named after him.
In honour of those who went before, in the dark and desperate years.

Bent by name, bent by natur.
He's the reason there is a train line that runs through Bentleigh 'cos he owned the land.
Plus isn't he the gentleman who may have lost the Mace from Parliament down in the brothels around Lonsdale Street?

It's awesome!
Should stay like that permanently.
Tommy was a big man in the early days of bayside and would certainly have followed the Saints today!

The suburb Bentleigh, is actually named after Tommy's daughter, Leigh Bent.
I dont understand what happened to the jinx. Were we outjinxed, or was jinx just a cat that chased Pixie and Dixie? (a littel Hanna Barbera humour for the oldies!).
