we will all rember winning the NAB cup in 2008 and all the 'experts' backing us to either win the flag or be within a whisker of it. We all got excited and thought our drought may come to an end in the last saturday of September. Whereis it was the total opposite, we were playing quite poor football losing games we shouldnt have. We were lucky to make the top 4 with the help of the dons playing one of the poorest games i have ever seen them play. We got to the finals got belted by geelong, got over the line against collingwood and got belted by the hawks. Imo it was a fail of a season.
Western bulldogs 2010
After getting very close to beating us in the prelim last year everbody thought the dogs would be the real deal this year and go all the way. They recuited barry hall (who has had a good year),Belted us in the NAB cup grand final etc.
They have had a pretty poor season before they got the flu etc, they did not beat any of the top teams (Saints,Cats and pies) and got belted by geelong late in the season by 100 points. Come finals they have been belted by collingwood, just gotten over the line v the Swans at the G where the swans have struggle this year.
You look at thoses two season and they are very similar. Hopefully we can do what hawthorn did to us in 08 and belt them and go into the grand final as underdogs and break the drought
