It's because he's a bit of a Sheedy/Shithouse bitzer. Likes to come across to the media as aloof yet everyone's best friend while making alien-like comments. Mark Harvey is another disciple that if given some decent success is setting up the same persona.Mr Magic wrote:I hope the media has the guts to print an account of his poor performance.
But probably they won't.
He's a bit like Malthouse - nobody in the media seems to want to take him on.
Wonder how he will feel about those comments once he watches the replay tomorrow without the emotion of the loss?
Seriously, it was a clear free kick (one that is paid more often than not). It doesn't become a 'non-free kick' just because there is a minute to go on the clock of a final and a four point margin. I am sure that he would have been very happy with the call if the situations had been in reverse.

"The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break in the game. Every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'

Anyone see how malthouse treated that kid from a community radio station last week. Asked him where he was from , when he said community radio, malthouse just ignored him, didnot even answer his question and looked away as if he wasnt even there. Very poor form.Mr Magic wrote:I hope the media has the guts to print an account of his poor performance.

Thompson earlier in the week
"I just think it's good for the umpires to come straight out and take control of matches. Finals are serious games, there's a lot at stake, and the umpires need to take control early."
Thompson after the game
"I don't want to risk any fine, so I'm not going to say anything about the umpires."
