Cometh the hour, cometh the man

Post: # 980829Post older saint »

22 rounds of practise is done, it all starts tonight. 22 players have a chance individually and collectively to go down in the pages of time with greatness bestowed upon them.
While the strength of the chain is determined by the weakest link the indiviudal performances can compensate for those weaker links.
Will it be a star who climbs to a level few have ever been, or will a lesser light join the names of Keating and Davis as September hero's.
Roo, Dal, BJ the opportunity awaits, Schnieds, Milne, Ray put the ghosts of the past to bed.
He who grabs the opportunity presented to them will come out the other side changed forever.

SIEZE THE DAY SAINTS, SIEZE THE DAY!

There is a thumping storm coming through Adelaide...I'm not sure if I want it or I don't want it, but the fireworks will be on for young and old when that ball bounces tonight!

Supposedly the Saints strength-meter is at 100%. We're the dark horse! Go you good things!!!

When they created LENNY HAYES (in the shadow of Harvs) they forgot to break the mold (again)- hence the Supremely Incredible Jack Steven!!

Putting aside the fact that I will be sitting in it if it comes, I do want it.

It helps to accentuate our strengths and hits theirs.

That said it doesn't make us sure things, I just like every advantage we can get.

Go Saints!!! I can't wait!!!

Life is very short and there's no time for fussing and fighting my friends.

Same! If we're up I'd like it to rain, if we're down, I'd like it to rain! I think it'll help us in limiting the opposition on the scoreboard. Always a good thing :)

Prefer for it to stay away myself.

And then unleash the mother of all storms tomorrow night for the Pies match!

I'm glad we're out of the way in the first game. It always adds to more to the interest watching the others finals games!

I think we'll see something special from the boys tonight! Yes I'm nervous, but who wouldn't be! I bet the Cats are! :D

Cometh they did!

Roo BJ ran them selves ragged. Hayes was like anengine just chruning along. Dal lifted and the depth was shown when Ling went to BJ

And the lesser lights and the much maligned: Peake, Ray, Dawson, Milne

The steel , the determination the rufes to lose attitude.

Sure Geelong will cry about the Gwilt free , and we can retort with the mooney goal, the SJ free the Stokes free, but that would do nothing but take away form the battle of wills which took place. Geelong put themselves ina position to allow a decision to influence the game ( which i think was correct- but to digress).

Enjoy the moment, lap it up and wake up tomorrow with 14 days to prepare for a battle which will be even more feirce, more challanging and higher stakes again!

Cometh the hour, cometh the man, cometh the Saints.

Great team effort, thought Peake was outstanding.
