http://www.saints.com.au/season2010/new ... fault.aspxThe Saints are pleased to announce that International Rookie, Tommy Walsh, has now been elevated to the Club’s primary list.
Tommy will be replacing Jesse Smith, who was added to the Long Term Injury List at the end of June earlier this year.
Since arriving at the Club at the start of this season from Gaelic Football side Kerry, Tommy has shown great determination in adapting to the game of AFL. He has played for St Kilda’s VFL affiliate side, Sandringham, in all of their 18 senior matches this year being named in the Zebra’s best on seven occasions.
Playing most of the season in defence, Tommy also made a number of appearances in the forward line and kicked seven goals for the year.

So much for being unhappy...
Clueless and mediocre petty tyrant.

Tommy isnt replacing them or anyone else in the finals this year unless we have the worst injuries ever.bigcarl wrote:You might think it is funny, but those two ultimately won't ... unless they produce.plugger66 wrote:Shouldnt you have a after that.bigcarl wrote:Zac and Kosi would want to produce, with Tommy Walsh breathing down their necks.

I know that, but long-term he is a threat to any key position player who is not playing well. A poor finals series by either will open the door for Tommy.plugger66 wrote:Tommy isnt replacing them or anyone else in the finals this year unless we have the worst injuries ever.bigcarl wrote:You might think it is funny, but those two ultimately won't ... unless they produce.plugger66 wrote:Shouldnt you have a after that.bigcarl wrote:Zac and Kosi would want to produce, with Tommy Walsh breathing down their necks.

Which is the whole point of having many players on a list, yes? To apply pressure to the incumbents, and to give the coach options should form decline in established players?bigcarl wrote:I know that, but long-term he is a threat to any key position player who is not playing well. If (for example) Kosi or Zac play poorly enough to give Tommy a sniff, fair play for mine.
Well that is surprising to say the least but well done Tommy.
Can anyone clarify if that is definitely a pay increase?

I think with the trip home during the break that this would be a good way of him being able to show his family what he's been able to achieve in his first 12 months.GrumpyOne wrote:I wonder what the timing of the announcement means.
Also a great way of making sure he doesn't hit the p!ss too hard while he's at home.
Keeps him keen to come back and have a BIG year!

Since when did you believe anything posted on this site?St. Luke wrote:I thought (according to this site) he was unhappy and wishing to leave the club....boy, he must be upset about being promoted
BTW, I'm so rich that if I dropped a $50 note in the street, it would cost me more than that to bend down and pick it up.
