i despise the dogs.
they went from my "2nd team/underdog" to my most hated opponent because of the aker thing.

its not so much i give two hoots about aker. but its the principles behind it.
the fact they had this super gay singalong the week after they gave him the ass and went on and on about how "galvanised" they were and how good a blokes they were.

then u had gia last year saying how the bulldogs didnt like the saints and how a good blokes they are and blah blah. Then u have johnno acting like hes the best bloke since ghandi just cos he has a big smile, shoving his mug on every tv camera in sight and yet denying aker a go in the media.

i mean the thing about footy clubs at all levels is that they bring people together from all walks of life. plumbers play alongside crims play alongside barristers. nooone cares. thyey are a broad church that allow for differences in personality type.

the only thing we are told is that u need to play hard work hard and train hard. yet akers sin was he was a "pain in the ass" - nothing about his slacking off at training. no he was a "pain in the ass". hardly a broad church? )and to leigh matthews and rocket eade im sure many people also think u are "pains in the ass")

yet for all their posturing and gay singalongs and tv appearance of being "united" and "strong". (the kind of crap caro wilso buys hook line and sinker.) the fact is when it came to standing up on the field. they showed all their off-field posturing was platitudes and nothing more.

thay capitualte and roll over anytime they play a good team. they are flat track bullies. the graham hicks of the afl.
and no amount of off-field telling everyone how strong and united they are will change it. what a bunch of total FLOG POTS.

as for rocket eade. what a goose. spent 10 years trying to build a team in his own image - outside wingmen. took him 10 stubborn ego driven years
to concede he might need a key fwd and some inside grunt. and to top it off. ive never seen him do or say one thing remotely interesting or funny
or seem like a decent bloke. hes just boring.

WANKER.

its karma getting their injuries. rant over.

A month ago and I still thought they were a reasonable chance to make a GF.

Must suck to be a Bulldogs supporter right now.

Oh well, it's not our problem :)

Doggies may come out with more passion then they could ever have hoped for after all of this...

Passion can't get you the whole way, but it might get you one match.

I'm dreaming.

I hate the bulldogs for a number of reasons.

Their coach and previous coach...

Barry Hall...

But the main reason is deep set when I was about 7 years old...

I went to a game at Western Oval with my parents and at some stage my late mother was continually beaten on the head with an umbrella by an irate women....

We were winning and my mother was just cheering the team on...

Long memories yes, but ever since that day I have hated them.

Flower them IMO

Therapy is of no value as I don't want to like an opposition side in any case

Best rant I've read in a long time!

Yes, I can't stand them either. I can't even explain why but I think it has something to do with the time I played little league. It was our school's turn so we jumped in the bus and traveled over to the western oval. Can't remember if we won or not but I do remember those ferals ate our share of the party pies and the big Ms. No s***, they scoffed down theirs then went into our room and ate ours too.

BTW, we played for the Saints and I was number 7 :)

The year before we went to Victoria Park and played the filth. I definitely remember we won that one 8-)

That is at least four different kinds of awesome.

I think it's their coach that does it for me. The whingiest coach going around and he's instilled his victim mentality into his players.

I remember a final at Waverley when they beat us, 30 seconds in there were Bulldog players by themselves everywhere, I had some real Idot Fans near me that day so havn't really liked them since. Did love it when Libba jumped into someones arms and then lost the game.

Back to the subject I remember Rohan Smith saying last year that Morris never gets beaten and the next week Roo took about 16 marks on him.

Around about the time when the Doggies won that illustrious flag in '54 Charlie Sutton's mother was renowned for flogging anything in sight including opposition Saints players with an umbrella. Heading down the race was like running the gauntlet. While Charlie embodied the Bulldog spirit his old dear forged a fearsome reputation of her own that was felt far and wide - perhaps even on your mum's scone.

Graceful, elusive, strong overhead and no Easybeat!
