With the game starting at 3.40pm, what will be the finish time.
I have an 8.10 flight out of SA. Will i have time for a drink at the after function, or will i be pushing it to close.

well, let's see....

On average, games go for about 2.5 hours from start to finish, including breaks.

The weather forecast for Adelaide on Saturday is mainly fine, so there will be quite a few goals kicked.

So add in another 10 minutes to the average.

So the game will therefore finish at: 6.20pm local time.

Now, I assume you are flying on Tiger, and you have to be at the airport at 7.25pm latest.

Let's assume the travel time to the airport from West Lakes is 30 minutes.

So you will have 35 minutes to quickly have 3 drinks!

Good luck!

the advice given above, whilst incredibly accurate and produced by a very intelligent person, may not be 100% accurate. I suggest you seek the opinion of another of the many experts on this site!

you forgot something
the travel time is 30 min with light to nil traffic

try a post game traffic jam.... with a full house as the crows farewell favourite sons.

the only transport getting priority will be the team bus....

so the Suns are the Crows favourites now?

Sheesh, can't believe they've ditched their own team for a new Gold Coast franchise!

i am on the 8.05 VB flight. anyone else?

i have stayed back at the function before, not really worth it.
if we win i will stay for an extra 10 mins, lose and i am out of there as soon as that siren goes. Traffic is horrible on Brebner DR and West Lakes bvd after a game, especially a crows game as they get 10k more than port do, i reckon 20-30 mins to the airport.

I thought about flying back Sat night, but I didn't think it was worth the rush to hopefully make the flight.

Realistically, there should be enough time but traffic could be a killer so I thought it be easier just to stay overnight in Adelaide.

Fly to Adelaide Qantas at 9am Sat.
Fly back Virgin Blue at 11:35am Sun.

no, it's a "half-light game".....half light games are basically day times that finish at twilight, twilight games finish when it is dark

.....so it follows that at half-light games, mid strength beer is sold!
