Heh Heh Great result!

I'm from Bendigo and am still dirty on Essendon hijacking our Bendigo Diggers which wore blue and gold, completly turning them into Essendon, whilst other aligned teams respected their partners name and colours by retaining them.

Having said that, I'd still be a Sandy fan even if Bendigo's colours and name were retained

Alistair Smith has been pretty good lately and I would have thought even he would have got the nod ahead of Heyne today.

It was one of those team effort days today...

I guess Alistair Smith stood out...Steven King moved freely which is a good sign...had a good chat with him after the game about politics of all things!

Steve Gaertner shared the ruck with King and did well...

Tommy Walsh played up forward and in defence...kicked a boomer of a goal...even with the help of the breeze it was at least 60 metres

Tommy Lynch had a lot of the ball and his disposal was very good

Rhys Stanley played at CHF and took a lot of contested marks

Jack Steven also had a lot of the ball...sometimes his disposal lets him down but today it was spot on

Mark Hutchings was prominent across the centre...I reckon he has a good future at the Saints

Archer did well again today...think he has finally realised that he has the ability to crunch packs and take contested possesion

All in all a very suprising score line but credit to the whole team to go out there and literally blast Essendon off their own ground...Essendon reserves are most probably on a par with their senior team form wise...they will play finals but on todays performance, it's hard to see them doing well..

from little I've seen Hutchings and Archer have potential.

Hey Zebra man thanks for the reports, do you follow the Dragons in the TAC cup? I play cricket with a young guy who is one of the co captains Jack Sketcher just wondered if you thought he was a chance to get drafted?

Sandringham inflicted one of the biggest upsets in the final round with an 88-point thumping of the Bendigo Bombers at Windy Hill.

The Bombers dropped to eighth position following their dismal performance. Nick Sautner booted seven goals, while Alistair Smith and Shane Tregear were brilliant in the midfield, 18.14 (122) to 4.10 (34).

Hopefully the game against Geelong at Moorabbin next Saturday will be open for all to see. I just worry that the Sandy boys will struggle to be excited. At least the Saints boys will be up and we get to see Bakes play.

Very disappointed that he wasn't. Would have been an ideal replacement for CJ and would have been a great experience for him. I think it's safe to say he would have gotten more than 3 possessions, too, especially given how many he got against teams like that in the NAB Cup.
