And it is looking quite likely you would be playing Swans in the PF...or a weakened Dogs.

Doggies.. Cooney hammy, and maybe Morris out too.....plus Johnno (though that may be a positive for them).

Hopefully we won't meet Fitzroy in the GF. Remember 1913.

But as the title of this post says, Beat the Cats in week 1 & then it may look more comfortable.

With "J-Pod" more than likely to miss, Mooney out of form we should be more confident than a week ago.

See what happened to the Filthwood tonight, you never know.

collingwood beat dogs in qf
sydney beats carlton in ef
sydney beats dogs in semi
geelong beat freo in semi
we beat sydney in prelim
collingwood beats geelong in prelim
and we SMASH collingwood in the gf

Yep... it could all be falling into place for us.

I'm comfortable with the cats first up... and if we could get a relatively breezy prelim, while the cats and the filth smash the crap out of each other....

Only 42,159 at the G last night. That's half-empty in my book.

Sounds like a plan. All hinges on beating Geelong in the QF though. We could still make it if we don't, but we are a real show if we win that one. And I really think it's a 50/50 show...neither team would be a strong favourite. The bookies will probably make the cats favourites, but are in this up to our necks.

It will be a red hot QF as the prize is so great, could possibly be the final of the series...would be the sweetest of final's victories if we can get out act together, would take over from our victory over North in the '97 Prelim IMO.

its still a bit in the air at the moment
a loss to the cats could set us up against either carlton, hawks, swans, or freo.

but of course we'll have a week off and let the cats worry about that 8-)

Never be comfortable with the Cats.

Exactly.

On their day, they are still the most formidable force in the league.

And their day usually comes around when it counts most.

We should know that...

Optimism is great, but lets just worry about Adelaide and getting our structures right first....
