If I remember correctly he was not interested in coming to Victoria when the Lions wanted to trade him to the Blues

Nothing like Luke Ball. Rischetelli has had a reasonable year as a midfielder who carries the ball and kicks it long distances. He is also quite quick. Ball is purely an inside player, a contested ball specialist who tackles strongly, is not very quick. I would suggest if he was like Luke Ball he wouldn't walk into our 22 which is why Ball left.Beej wrote:Pretty harsh calling him a gyt.
Poor man's Luke Ball but would still walk into our 22.
Rischetelli is just coming into his prime, a bit like when we got Brett Voss. He would be a great get.

Actually said on the footy show that checked with AFL and can only get one from each club.?plugger66 wrote:They actually can get both if they use the pre season draft for one of them.Goose is king wrote:GC are more interested in Brennen and cant have both. It was Hutchy that said it though, I've never put any faith in anything he's said in the past.
Just have to take it at face value.

I think what Plugger is saying is if Richetelli (who knows how to spell it) goes into the draft the GC can pick him up that way as he would not be a Brisbane player anymore.older saint wrote:Actually said on the footy show that checked with AFL and can only get one from each club.?plugger66 wrote:They actually can get both if they use the pre season draft for one of them.Goose is king wrote:GC are more interested in Brennen and cant have both. I don't see the need for a midfielder. If it's Gary Ablett or some game-breaking type, then sure - I'll take that. I don't think upgrading our sixth or seventh midfielder is really worth the bother.
Plus, there's this:

Good player but I'd prefer to keep our picks this year.
Despite the GC having a million early picks it will be a very strong draft & there will be plenty of gems to be found from pick 25-60.
I'd really like to see us draft a few indigenous boys with serious breakneck speed. Adding a Neville Jetta clone would be perfect (although one who could kick straight would be preferred).

AE, I'm sure that it's not how you meant it, but maybe your preference would be better expressed:-Animal Enclosure wrote:Good player but I'd prefer to keep our picks this year.

I for one would be ecstatic if we managed to pick up a player with Dal's skill and Stanley's speed.
Or Alwyn Davey's speed and Cyril Rioli's skill.
Or Wojcinski's speed and Goodes' skill
Their ethnicity doesn't enter into the equation for me.
having said that mm....there are another three jettas in the wings.....younger brothers of two of the three already playing....there is also another roo on the horizon....
.everybody still loves lenny....and we always will
