Yeah, just heard about it on the radio.

They were a bit scetchy on the details and described it as a domestic accident.

Was it Spider Everitt that did a 'Domestic injury' when he was playing with us?

God that's frustrating. WE needed him right for finals and superfit to make up for his lack of match fitness.

If true and he has carelessly injured his foot that's pretty disappointing.
If he has broken a toe and that's the surgery rumour they are reporting then he will struggle to come back. What next with us this year ffs#*#!!

One would have thought that Bakes would be Super-careful fitness-health wise during this enforced layoff. A real blow if we are missing Bakes for finals, and as someone else here has said: just ANOTHER hurdle to climb in the season of 2010!

He was up against it anyway to be match fit for a final. This just sets him back even further.

I would be suprised if he was selected now, especially if our back six keep performing as they did yesterday.

Bakes is a favourite son and we need him fit and firing. He bleeds for the club and our back half is better with him in it but if he is on the MCG in a final and not 100% fit he will be a liability for the opposition to expose.

He would be bloody dirty on himself if he has set himself back stuffing around.

So, did he drop the bowling ball on his foot, kick it or was he used as one of the skittles?

Take more than a broken toe to keep him out of the finals...

Hes already out for 9 weeks...now no training/physical work for 3 weeks minimum..........thats gotta be season over.

Dumb teams take injured/half done players into finals....weve learnt from 05 surely.

Not sure we were 'dumb', we only had the reserves team left to bring on!

By the way - no one mentioned dumb teams playing injured players come finals....

If we make the GF - bring him into the team, even on one leg. Let him run rampant & finally earn an 8 week suspension - win the GF, retire in a blaze of glory.

Would never have to buy another beer for the rest of his life.

We kick bowling balls around at training.

Nothing to see here.
