If we wins, he wins, doesn't mean people have to like it.
What's worse than Ball winning a premiership medal?

Midfield clearances and clear winners are needed to make an effective forward line.
You need to protect the ball handler to increase posession efficiency

The player I want most to see collect one is Jason Blake... players like Roo and Lenny obviously deserve it, but they will be remembered as champions no matter what. Blake becomes a legend if he wins one, and he deserves nothing less.dcstkfc wrote:Man that'd be sweet. Yeah I do the Craig Willis impersenation often:markp wrote:"Number 14... The reason Collingwood look so great is because they are baby'd throughout the H&A season with little or no travel, 6 billion games at the MCG and I seriously can't recall them ever playing the Cats at Skilled??? They are propped up season after season! I hope they cop an absolute beating this weekend!
When they created LENNY HAYES (in the shadow of Harvs) they forgot to break the mold (again)- hence the Supremely Incredible Jack Steven!!

And not because they are playing terrific footy that maximises their strengths and minimises their weaknesses? That their team play at the moment is exemplary? That they have been able to integrate their imported players into the side and improve the overall team output markedly?St. Luke wrote:The reason Collingwood look so great is because they are baby'd throughout the H&A season with little or no travel, 6 billion games at the MCG and I seriously can't recall them ever playing the Cats at Skilled??? "The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break in the game. Every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'

They travel 4 times this year and we travel 6. We have 14 games at etihad and 2 at the G. They have 14 at the G and 4 at etihad. I didnt realise that 2 games would mean such a difference in form at the moment. Travel is overated. It is only hard for average or poor sides. This year we have won 4 out of 5 travelling and lost 4 and half out 13 at home. Last year we won 6 out of 6 travelling and lost 3 out of 19 at home. The pies have won 3 out of 4 travelling and lost 3 out of 14 at home. So travelling isnt hard at all when you are a good side.St. Luke wrote:The reason Collingwood look so great is because they are baby'd throughout the H&A season with little or no travel, 6 billion games at the MCG and I seriously can't recall them ever playing the Cats at Skilled??? The pies are good at the moment becvause they are in form. Has nothing to do with the travel aspect.

Just a slight correction plugger. Collingwood play 16 games at the mcg, 2 at Etihad Stadium, 1 at ANZ stadium in Sydney and 3 other interstate games, just like they have done for a number of years. They have contracts in place for this to hapen EVERY year. It's not just about where they play, but who they play and when. But we could go on & on & on about Collingwood and the FIXture. When will we see them play home games against Freo, Port, Syd,WCE, Adel, Bris, MN & Melb in the same year? !!
NEW scarf signature (hopefully with correct spelling) will be here as soon as it arrives !!
So you want their draw to get easier by playing those sides. The point is interstate is overated if you are a good side and the pies arent on top because of only travelling 4 times. They didnt beat us by 8 goals because we had travelled 5 times to their 4. Surely.Eastern wrote:Just a slight correction plugger. There is also the financial side of things to consider. Much of Collingwood's wealth is generated because of the FIXture. They can afford more/better than most because of this. That in turn equates to them having an on-field advantage. The AFL aren't going to change any of that in the near future because they (collectively & individually) reap the rewards from this lopsided FIXture !!plugger66 wrote:So you want their draw to get easier by playing those sides.
