For a show so intrinsically watchable the 'in the hot seat' segment of OTC is a real dead spot. No one ever says anything remotely interesting. Not a single syllable. It's just mantra. I wish they'd scrap it and analyse the game more.
"The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break in the game. Every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'

Not sure how you got that impression. I felt nothing of the sort.SydneySainter wrote:Honestly, I got the impression from Roo that the playing group is really starting to doubt themselves.
While he emphasised that the playing group still believes they are a big chance to win the flag, I didn't get the impression that he really believed it. Maybe if he'd said that playing group 'knows' they can win it instead 'believes' they can win it, I might have believed they were still in the St Kilda bubble.
I guess its all about perception. People see what they want to - or choose to- see.

Not at all, last thing I want to see is doubt in our team. Just got the impression that Roo wasn't confident in winning the flag.Finna wrote:Not sure how you got that impression. Clearly it was just me, which is a plus.
