Why did we trade Luke Ball :s
This decision has coem back to bite us. Why on earth would we trade Ball. His work in the contested situations would of really helped (still probably would of lost) but he is the type of player we are cryign out for. Apart from Lenny, we have no one who wants to go in.
Losing Ball was bad, but losing him for nothing was the kicker. We got arrogant, wouldnt deal with Collingwood who were offering draft picks for him, then lost him for nothing.
We are a disgrace. Rant over.

He would have been like TOTALLY AWESOME tonight. LIKE the way HIS PACE lets him break the lines, and how his like RAKING BOOT would have like dobbed LIKE four goals straight.
Get f***ed.
Get f***ed.
"The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break in the game. Every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'

Read my post pretty well didnt ya chump...wasaintsfan wrote:WE DIDNT TRADE BALL OMFG
gotta laugh at all the stupid stuff you see after a loss though bahahahahaha
I explained why it was a stupid move losing him for nothing.
Who cares if he is slow, Ball is a gun player and he is proving that htis year at the Pies playing a great roll. Why we let him slip away is beyond me, yet we keep guys who are worse.

we equalled them in clearances and had seven more inside 50s. we just cannot put it on the board.Ajer wrote:This decision has coem back to bite us. Why on earth would we trade Ball. Surely this thread is just taking the pi$$!!
I will try to take the OP seriously, Ball would not have made an ounce of difference tonight. He left us, he refused to let us deal with any other teams other than the filth in trade week, we didn't kick him out or let him slip away. You cannot hold an uncontracted player on your list against his will ffs! We went halfway across the globe to try to keep him, and he wanted out because he was not prepared to do the work that Ross wanted him to (very private school boy my $hit don't stink attitude if you ask me). Agreed, we got done over but that was through no fault of our own.
Anyway, can we please move on from this, we are just out of form. And I'd prefer to be out of form in July rather than September!!

you're right. sorry about that.#1GILL wrote:He actually went in the National Draft not the Pre Season Draft.Sainternist wrote:But we didn't trade him.
He entered the pre-season draft instead because we were too bloody pedantic about the offers put forward from other teams.
Instead, the Filth got him, whilst we got SFA!

Has gone, move on.
and we need forwards who can get it and kick a goal.
I agree BC, does not matter how fast you are if you hold the ball going foward and allow other teams to get back. To me thats our biggest problem.
I love this club

Re: Why did we trade Luke Ball :s
Yes we are a disgrace for trading Luke Ball....Hold up we didnt trade him, the man walked out on the club!!!!! For more game time. Couldnt take the pay cut and thought he should get near the same amount as Roo. The Pies offered us pick 30 not draft picks, one draft pick and if they are truthful they picked the guy they wanted with 30 later in the draft! How has he gone in the 1st's?????Ajer wrote:This decision has coem back to bite us. Why on earth would we trade Ball.
