Can't Sandringham put together an all Sandy team.
No point letting those leeches get a look at our more lowly paid but future players.

At least they wont see Armitage.

No its a good idea. Let our players miss a week and try and get some form just so the Gold Coast dont see them even though probably some of their recruiters have seen them all play before.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

of course the Gold Coast team have no people watching other teams...

The Melbourne supporters site is already asking questions about Rhys Stanley...so if they're doing it then I'm sure scouts from other clubs are keeping a close watch on Saints (and other teams) fringe players

All 3 emergencies are named in the Sandringham team.
They have K Geary named in both seniors adn reserves so one could assume that teh one named in the seniors is Jarryn.
Pattison is named as first ruck.
Stanley is named as CHF

Dont wreck the story with facts. One or maybe 2 will be held back tonight. Probably geary due to his ability to play in a few positions.

:)
But aren't Sandy playing after we play?
Surely the Sandringham team is irrelevant if we are playing before they are?

No Blake McGrath.

Had high hopes for this kid however he missed the early games and I haven't seen him amongst the best for the Ressies this year. Now he's not named.

Hope all is okay however the clock will be ticking.

Thanks Zebraman. I wish you would post more often. You are quite knowledgeable about Sandringham, which makes you a rarity on this forum, to be knowledgeable about something that is.

also, no simpkin in the side? if that's an injury then they're biting sandy pretty hard at the moment:

king
clarke
winmar
armitage
smith j
fisher l
eddy?
hutchings
simpkin
mcgrath

as well as bakes suspended. missing ten or eleven saints players makes it pretty hard for the young sandy side to get results, i imagine.

Pattison and Stanley arrived on time courtesy of Zebramans taxi service from Coolangatta airport...bit of a mix up at Tullamarine earner on today

Robert Eddy is playing today

Weather is ok...cloudy ...and a bit of wind favoring the north end of the ground

Unfortunately Sandy highlights are a bit thin....Gold Coast are a very fast team and are moving the ball very quickly from one end to the other. A couple of their goals came from 50 metro penalties...the wind is quite strong and they kicked 6 against it...

Going to need a huge turnaround by Sandy in the second half

Any time Karmichael Hunt gets the ball there is a lot of noise....Nathan Ablett has been quiet. Gaertner doing well on him

Gaertner IMO is the only Zebra worth his salt. Eddy in glimpses. Irving having a dip every now and then. Very poor effort by Sandy. GC are pretty slick at times. Wish we had a few of those young blokes on our up and comer list. Hunt is actually a reasonable player. Had a few very good touches.

"The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break in the game. Every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'
