Ball is a collingwood player so he inherits that team and their history .....
as for appriciating him i would think giving him a spot in the g/f was a sign of appriciation i would also think the bucket loads of $ we gave him for the 10 possessions a gamewas a sign of appriciation ...
shame he didnt play as well for us as he did for them today heck he even kicked the ball over 30 meters !!

I don't understand wishing Luke well when he wants to play for Collingwood, wants to beat St Kilda, wants to beat his St Kilda opponent one on one, wants to be a part of an opposing premiership contender.
It's nearly 12 months on now, I find these threads quite strange TBH.
I don't dislike him or anything, but he is contributor to a team that beat us today?
Collingwood can reap the reward....seriously, what's that about BM?

That's not like you, SainterK. BM was just wishing him good luck.SainterK wrote:I don't understand wishing Luke well when he wants to play for Collingwood, wants to beat St Kilda, wants to beat his St Kilda opponent one on one, wants to be a part of an opposing premiership contender.

We reap the rewards from Gardiner, King, Ray, Schneider, Dawson, Dempster etc.
And it's topical today.

I asked BM a question, I have not attacked him personally, the worst I have said is that I find these threads quite strange?Milan Faletic wrote:That's not like you, SainterK. I didn't say you did attack him. I have my opinion like you and I think BM was just stating where Luke is now. I don't find the thread strange because we played them today.SainterK wrote:I asked BM a question, I have not attacked him personally, the worst I have said is that I find these threads quite strange?Milan Faletic wrote:That's not like you, SainterK. I just find BigMart's sentiment on here tonight quite negative, his only positive comment seemed to concern an ex Saints player. It's his right of course, but I feel perfectly comfortable asking him to elaborate, and I am sure he wouldn't mind me doing so....Milan Faletic wrote:I didn't say you did attack him. What is not like SainterK? Trying to be positive about our team instead of starting and contributing numerous negative posts that slam our football club?Milan Faletic wrote:That's not like you, SainterK. She finds the thread quite strange. So do I. If Sainterk had come in to every 2nd thread tonight slamming our team then THAT would have been strange.
Big Mart has been painful at best over the last 12 hours. Wish he would crawl back under his rock to be perfectly honest. We lost a game of football that no one is happy about. To whinge and bleat in every thread is quite over the top. To 'smack' SainterK on the hand for defending her club is ridiculous. Would you prefer if we all stood back and let the usual 'suspects' bag our club without retaliation? Not going to happen. The majority of us are NOT 'fair weather' supporters.

Like Ball............
The main area that we lacked in was in our poor disposal skills (though we were down on team play etc..).....now you may have been asleep for the last several years but one Luke Ball has dreadful disposal. He would not have helped us in this regard one iota...
Not needed or required by the Saints and if he had stayed would have remained the fringe player...

Flying the World in comfort thanks to FF Points....
How good was that mark he took backing back with the flight though? Bastard must've backpedalled close to 10 metres.
They don't deserve him.
In the two games against us he's been brilliant as if trying to prove a point.
Enjoyed watching his battle with Lenny Hayes, albeit with a tinge of sadness. Two tougher, more competitive footballers you will not find.

What rots me a little is that Ball took all our secrets and whispered them into the Liars ear.
'Here's your cheque, now tell me everything.'
Not strange at all how their forward pressure is much improved this year.
I wouldn't expect Ball to not whore it all out, but it still rots me.

5 prelims in 7 years. 40 wins from 49 games.
2009 and 2010 were 2 of the 5 best years ever by the St.Kilda FC.
Thanks for all your efforts Saints.

The thing that most surprised me was a father (SainterDad) using the phrase "OMFG" on the internet.aussierules0k wrote:Using a thread title that gives one an indication of what's inside would be helpful... not essential tho... each to his own. Possibly some ppl would be expecting more excitement in a OMFG thread than what delivered.
