We are actually leading the free kick count. However roo has none for 1 against so so much for the theory that he is well looked after by the umps.

Cant rely on free kicks though need to win the ball.

I still refuse to give up as this is collingwood's grand final, they will run out of steam, and we will run over the top.

4 down is very gettable, we just have to come out hard straight away in the 3rd and get 2 back to back goals and Collingwood will panic. For that to happen we need to be more direct and stop overpossessing the ball. A bit like the game aginst WCE in Perth. Stay tuned for the first 5 minutes and we will know.

How many free kicks have Collingwood got in front of goal though? That has been the real killer - the Dawson one was a joke, couldn't be any more clear that it was high.

We simply have not turned up today, I sure hope something happens at the half time break to make the boys click. Credit where credit is due, Collingwood are playing well and have had a huge amount of luck in terms of lucky bounces and the like. Unless we lift, this game will slip by us.

negatives of first half:
too roo conscious
many are down
allowing them too much space

Positives:
a pass to roo finally paid off
dawson has been good despite that rediculous holding the ball decision where he was smacked in the face
pattison has been solid and presenting all over the ground
kosi looks dangerous when forward (should be trying to go his way a little more)
hayes is lifting nice hit on daisy creating the 2nd goal
for how poor weve been in the first half we are only 4 goals down 1 good quarter and we can be up
lyon looks like he going to give the serve they need to lift

Go the saints we were our own worst enemy in the 1st lets pick it up and smash these pies

The Pies have thrown everything at us, still, it ain't over yet. A lot of our players look flat as tacks, not just the bottom players. Not singling out but Milne and Joey have been very poor. They have plenny of mates

It's a long time since I've seen so many of our players struggle like they're at the moment.
But I think we'll come out a totally different side after halftime and blitz these black and white maggotts.

Everything has been going against us today, the sheer amount of bad luck (the Peake shot at goal scraping the post, Fisher's miskicks, unlucky frees given to the Pies in front of goal)... surely it can only get better?

one against dawson which shouldve been a dawson free for a hit in the face or over the shoulder but was called holding the ball

one from out on the full and early one from lack of awareness from gilbert(ball kicked it 40m :S )

weve been own worst enemy... instead of taking it outa the pack and running weve going back into the pack and it isnt working :P silly skill errors things like that.... our defence has been solid its just silly mistakes that theyre taking advantage of...

get rid of the mistakes their avenue to goal will dry up and we will create space
