McQualter was lining up in the true CHF position against the Dees - I couldn't figure that out ?AlpineStars wrote:I don't think that Mini has been doing enough but his best games this year have been against Bulldogs (last 15 mins when needed) Geelong and Collingwood.
I think that makes him safe.
Also is it any wonder that Stanley was largely out of the action - Stanley was being by-passed. - if he was playing at CHF where he should have been and was allowed to lead into space, I'd be backing him.
Lyon should trust the kids, allow them to do and be more - use them properly - maybe then they'd trust in themselves too.
At least Watts was used correctly by Melbourne and he ended up with 18 possessions.
We're looking for a flag this year, Melbourne are re-building.samoht wrote:McQualter was lining up in the true CHF position against the Dees - I couldn't figure that out ?AlpineStars wrote:I don't think that Mini has been doing enough but his best games this year have been against Bulldogs (last 15 mins when needed) Geelong and Collingwood.

Devloping kids is only a distant secondary or tertiary aim.

Perhaps because we've won 1 out of our last 14 games at the venue by an average of 55 pointsThinline wrote:
Still, why do I think of it as a bit of a danger game?

Don't think I'd risk Gram in the VFL , he's too important.
Mini, Peake, Gears, Steven all potential outs for Gram.
All playing well, great it's so tough!
RL may surprise by resting a few of top 18.
But unlikely as four points crucial before the Pies.
This is all very positive talk.

In: Roo Kosi
Out: Pattinson Stanley
Comments:
Stanley has done awesome. And we should all be rapt with him. Its no disgrace him losing his place to the best player in the comp. Head held high. Future star.
Grammy- maybe give him a quarter at VFL level this week and bring him back in Round 16?
I dont think anyone will be dropped for Grammy next week. I think RL will start rotating players from Round 16-20. We might see Fish, Gilbo, Dal, BJ, Monty,Lenny and anyone else who needs it rested one or two a week with "general soreness".

Steven must stay in for the rest of the season... If he gets dropped and guys like Dempster, Mini and to a lesser extent Geary keep thier spot, we will be worse off come September...
Steven has match turning/winning ability, a rare quality that the above mentioned lack...
FWIW I'd like to see Gears keep his spot, I love the way he goes about it, and with Patto and Stanley likely outs, I hope his spot is safe and Demp/Mini are cut first...

Little snippet from that article, good to see Xman back on the paddock this week via the QAFL.SainterK wrote:Fev looks like an in, Maguire not to come up in time....

In: Roo, Kosi, King
Out: Stanley, Pattison, Gardiner
I'd love to see Stanley get a game alongside Roo before the end of the year, but i'm not convinced this is the week for that.
Stanley keeps his spot if Kosi doesn't get up, but i doubt that will be an issue.
Gram will be important at the 'G next week, so I'd hold him back until then.

Would be stoked with that... Great to have Roo and Kosi back and Stanley has certainly been magnificent so far.St Chris wrote:In: Roo, Kosi, King

Won't be long until they are announced anyway...
