Assistance for the MRP
It is now obvious that Baker will serve his 9 week suspension and there is very little we as a club and supporters can do about it.
Our team has been affected by this decision and we now need to do whatever we can to assist our players as they strive for this season's premiership.
If we can't get Baker's suspension changed then what else can we do as a positive?
Let's assist the MRP in their endeavours to catch all reportable offences.
Let's make sure that they know what to look at.
How do we go about trawlling through all avaialble video footage of all games so that we can highlight the reportable offences?
We can then inform the MRP (and the media) what we've found.
Surely they'll appreciate the assistance, afterall they would want to see all reportable offences (not just some), wouldn't they?
Given that they're totally independant.
Maybe we could start a sticky thread to post video links to reportable offences and then we could pass them on?
Is this possible/feasible?

Was actually just thinking along the same lines. How soon do you think this will be tested again? Michael Voss said earlier this week he would do whatever was needed to stop Judd.
The MRP may have just put themselves under a lot of pressure. Will be interesting what will happen when it raises its head again... and it will

Was thinking the same thing mast night Mr Magic.
Now that the AFL have 'changed' the rules again, I think it is up to us as responsible citizens to highlight these sorts of incidents to the MRP and media when they occur.
The media seem to have a lot of influence on what goes on.

Unfortunately when an organisation does not accept precedents, they can carry on incompetantly as ever.
There will be a 100 punches before the end of the year with more force than Bakers that will receive no punishment, MRP's response, they reviewed each incident on it's merit and came to their conclusion.
Unfortunately the scape goat has been caught, skinned and cooked now, no need to crack down further.

Life is very short and there's no time for fussing and fighting my friends.

The MRP needs to be assisted by being sacked immediately. Andrian Anderson should step down and publically admit to it being a failed system.
The AFL is the laughing of the sporting world, and they will continue to wear egg on their faces until they introduce a more fair, consistent and democractic tribunal system.
These bastards are killing our game. They must be weeded out.

I'm afraid what you're suggesting Mr Magic would be considered "unmanly"Mr Magic wrote:It is now obvious that Baker will serve his 9 week suspension and there is very little we as a club and supporters can do about it.

The AFL loves making themselves look reactive and then inconsistent. They will crack down for 2 weeks then let it go for the rest of the season. Then on the eve of the finals make some outrageous suspension. Just hope it isn't us this time. Comrade Demetriou the great benevolent leader must make statements to the people so they don't take liberties. Sometimes comrades it is better to sacrifice one for the betterment of the people.
