IN'S & OUT'S for round 14
Lets move on & think about the changes for next week.
Melbourne is coming of a bad loss so we should be focused & not be over confident from our fantastic win last week.
I think Gram will come in for Bakes.

I thought he was withdrawn with illness or the flu? In which case he should be fine..saintly wrote:Eddy is injured, you will need to pick someone elserealdeal wrote:I'm thinking Gram might be rested 1 more week..
In- Eddy
Out- Baker
Gram, needs time still and maybe even a game in the VFL
Otherwise, maybe a Miles or Smith?

Yeah I wasn't having a go at that, but I think we can promote a rookie if J.Smith is on Long Term injury list and I think Walsh is a rookie?realdeal wrote:I meant A.SmithAlpineStars wrote:Bakes out, Walsh in (give him a run) he's been playing backline and J.Smith on the long term injury list.
Maybe Mac for Kingy as well.
Wake me up when September ends.

Walsh is a rookie, but don't expect him to be elevated this year. He will be good, but we are after a premiership this year.AlpineStars wrote:Yeah I wasn't having a go at that, but I think we can promote a rookie if J.Smith is on Long Term injury list and I think Walsh is a rookie?realdeal wrote:I meant A.SmithAlpineStars wrote:Bakes out, Walsh in (give him a run) he's been playing backline and J.Smith on the long term injury list.

Old enough to repaint, but young enough to sell

A shame, as he looked a handy replacement if Bakes gets screwed over by the MRP again (although depends on what Eddy's injury is - he'd be an obvious choice if fit).
Maybe if Roo comes back, this will be the only change (Roo for Bakes with Gilbo taking a small forward along with Gears)?
The clash with the St. Kilda game is a bit of a s***, as I quite like watching the VFL games - much more like going to watch a Saints game at Moorabbin.
I think Heyney was getting xrays today but saw him after the game and his hand was very swollen and black. Not much better news on Eddy either who may miss a few weeks with a knee I think. But the Saints have a bit of an easier run and Rooey back, all looking good

Could be worth a try at this stage, it was a shame Miles was injured at the start of the year, as I thought he would have had a chance much sooner.Ghost Like wrote:older saint wrote:In: Miles

I like this and think it's a good fit for the side.
Would prefer to see Raph back, but me thinks caution would be better.
As for Gram getting a run in the VFL first, well, we're playing Melbourne...

Would of thought he's near an absolute certaintyOneEyedSainter77 wrote:So no chance of Roo being back then?
Would've thought if he was a chance, there'ed be a bit more noise about it - hard to keep this sort of tihng quiet.
Not that I want him back necessarily - no need to rush him back in. Wait until he is 100% ready which I have no doubt the club will do.
Bring back the Lockett era
melbourne aren't exactly the tallest forward line so i'd be surprised if zac came back this week, especially given how good last week's back line was. dempster looked good replacing bakes back there during the game, so i'd suggest the real in is for dempster, hopefully gram.dcstkfc wrote:In Zac
