Easy run home - still to play 4,8,9,10,11,12,13,15,16
Based on current rankings.
After Geelong we only play two other top eight sides - Collingwood (4th) and Hawth (8th).
In descending numerical order our next 10 opponents are
1,4,8,9,10,11,12,13,15,16
After Geelong the only way our draw could be any easier is if the Collingwood game was replaced by WCE who are 14th.
(Of course two of those games are interstate - comleting our "full set" of six interstate games).
So we are perfectly set up for a top two finish.
And a serious crack at the Premiership with a "fresh" Roo to top up our list.

The rest of Australia can wander mask-free, socialise, eat out, no curfews, no zoning, no police rings of steel, no illogical inconsistent rules.

Agree but, conservatively speaking, if we can win 6 out of our last 10 we will be 15-7Saint Mik wrote:1 week at a timeEnrico_Misso wrote:Based on current rankings.

Well in the hunt and well placed to strike.

Amended the title.
So in the next 9 weeks
we play Collingwood (4th)
and we play 8 of the bottom 9 sides
Top 2 spot looks very very likely.
Our destiny is in our hands.

You have hit on a very interesting point and one I had not considered.Griggsy wrote:Its no cake walk, it may have been other seasons but this season even the lower teams look like they can pip a top seed on their day. Dare i say because there is no need to tank
In reality this is something that should be discussed, is the feeling of eveness about this year in the bottom half of the competition as well as the top 6 directly influenced by the comprimised draft and the lack of opportunity to secure priority draft picks or even top 5 picks?
Or is it that the equalisation of the competition continuing to improve, due to better and more scientific drafting, a more active trade period and extended rookie lists and mature age rookie selections?
Maybe this year?
Great point. There will be many more banana skin matches for the top 6 in the run-home this year.rexy wrote:You have hit on a very interesting point and one I had not considered.Griggsy wrote:Its no cake walk, it may have been other seasons but this season even the lower teams look like they can pip a top seed on their day. Sides like Port, Adelaide and Richmond will tough it out to Round 22.
