Fox League Teams-All Australian Team, 6 Saints
Mid season team.
Panel was Brian Taylor, David Parkin, Liam Pickering, Rohan Smith, Tony Shaw.
B: Enright Lake Gilbert
HB: Goddard Fisher Hodge
C: Swan Barlow Montagna
HF: Chapman Pavlich(c) S.Johnson
F: Milne J.Riewoldt Hall

I/C: Jamar Hayes B.Harvey Bartel
6 Sainters, add Roo to that and it would have been 7. Dal didn't make it.
Pretty good if you ask me.

Interesting that the Hall experiment has worked for the Dogs....
They have taken steps in addressing their weakness (with a huge gamble)and it has paid off....we tried to address ours and it did not, lets see how that turns out in sept...considering we wer 7 points apart last year...
Bris did the same, it has flopped.

Hall has done ok, but I don't think you could say it has quite worked out yet. They may finish well, but right now I am not sure they would be all that satisfied with their year (based on expectations going in).BigMart wrote:Interesting that the Hall experiment has worked for the Dogs....

Yeh I'd have to agree. Fevola, well they have not really gained much, nothing that Bradshaw didn't give them, the only plus is that Fev is a bit younger. Fev looks to heavy, and with the inability to push up the ground to leave Brown isloated, it almost hinders them.BigMart wrote:

Goose has been good without being brilliant, and unfortunatly is injured, which he usually was here. Xavier has yet to play a game, Buchanan injured his finger and has not been brilliant, meanwhile Staker would be close to best of the bunch. Raines I havn't even noticed (and would go ok a richmond)
Carpe Diem

In regards to Fisher over Harry Taylor, they provided stats which highlighted that Fisher was having more possessions than Taylor in all areas and had also only 7 goals kicked on him to 17 against Taylor. Fisher was actually first choice by three of the 5 panel but big BT wanted Harry in and then Parko was allowed one veto choice and Fisher was in.
