Been in some ripping form lately, could he be the most underrated (externally of course) player at the Saints....probably together with Gardi?

Just got his finger tips to it. Loved it.

Disagree with Gilbert..... His disposal has been shocking lately.

He's only missed 1 game since he came over to us. And that was precautionary/injury.

Ross certainly doesn't underrate him.

Gun.

An uninjured first rounder is a killer pick up and a really silly 'give up'. You simply have to let top picks develop. They mostly do if the nurturing's right.

"The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break in the game. Every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'

Agree, but it didn't work out that way with Fiora.

The Saints have copped a bit on here for their trading so fair enough to give them a pat on the back for this one. :D

Like to think he is thriving under coaches who reward people for more aspects of a game than just highlighting every poor disposal.

I did say mostly.

If I remember correctly he came with a rep of being soft, I have seen none of that.
But you do have to let players mature, even first rounders. Something we did and Melbourne are doing now.

I heard this so often, "He's soft", "A downhill skier", "goes missing", from any

Bulldog supporter who I gave the time of day. When he was coming here I

thought "Fiora MKII". .

The guys is a machine. Just keeps presenting. Great mark.

Cool under pressure. 9/10 makes right decision.

Mancrush.

Agreed. He is not a world beater and I doubt that he will have picked up any Brownlow votes.... but he is consistently in our top 10 players, week in, week out.... along with the likes of Blake, Baker, Gwilt etc. provides the solid core of performers so that the cream of our elite players (Dal/Joey/BJ/Lenny) can rise above....

Hird... The unflushable one is now... just a turd...

I remember hearing the leadership group took him aside when he came to the club and said something like 'you have a reputation for being weak overhead, and you'll have to earn our respect if you want it.'

Since then he's turned himself into one of the strongest marks for his size in the comp. I couldn't be more of a fan.
