Etihad Stadium surface
Just watching the Pies v Dogs and the movement of the surface is alarming. It is being ripped out in chunks by the players boots and has caused Shaun Higgins to roll his ankle when it gave way under his foot. Fox have showed some slo-mo of players having the surface lift under their feet and huge chunks giveway.
It seemed fine on Friday for our game night and last night for the Roos game, perhaps they left the roof open overnite and early today which has soaked it, seems dangerous and hope this a one off because it has been good for a while, wouldn't like it back like it was a few years ago.

Ground is a major concern and even more so seeing Andrew "$$$" Demitriou and Collo " the straw man" said there is nothing wrong with it.
Perhaps ask Higgins from the Dogs if there is nothing wrong with it as he watches for 3 weeks on crutches. The field kicking on Friday night was terrible by both teams surface shifting would have something to do with this.

Conspiracy Theory or Stuff Up?
It could be that one of Collo's goons forgot to shut the roof and it rained. We know they have a drainage problem, look what hapened to the roof.
I'd have Stuff Up well ahead at this point !!

NEW scarf signature (hopefully with correct spelling) will be here as soon as it arrives !!

Etihad is the exact same stadium as the Amsterdam Arena. Amsterdam Arena has always had problems with the ground and injuries to players, so whoever bought the plans off Amsterdam Arena did not do enough due diligence. Its completely the fault of the team in charge of purchasing in my opinion and this wont go away.

etihad is trash.
just like gettn a warning for writing ..."multitudes of young privately educated right wing hitlerite youth are homophobic in public and homosexual in private."
utter trash.
lock , then move this one to the general dump , new mod.
i also think the 'leadership' is inept, pathetic and vindictive.

That's true. The worst part is that a soccer pitch is rectangular so they didn't allow for the fact that there would be turf all the way to the fences. Soccer pitches often have an athletics track surrounding then so the sunlight issue is not as compelling. Most of the surface problems are on the wings and flanks where sunlight is limited due to the rectangular opening in the roof.goods wrote:Etihad is the exact same stadium as the Amsterdam Arena. Its no use complaining cos basically nothing will change . The clubs that have there home games need to band together and force the afl who are supposed to represent them , to get collo to fix all issues at the ground
i e pouring rights , ground revenue , surface concerns . however this will never happen , clubs are only interested in themselves , Saints included . So the patchwork quilt sandy surface will continue until november , by late december though the surface will green even and lush ! Then in feb after New years eve rage and half a dozen concerts , the ground will be complete shite again . All ready for next years footy when we can all start whingeing again about the state of the ground.
