I wouldn't say Eddy was shocking last week, but he would want to get a bit more of it this week or I reckon he will make way for Armo or Steven.

Somewhat surprised that Armo misses again, would've thought that he'd shown alot more than Geary and Eddy have in their respective games this season..

Oh well, the coaches know best, lets see how they all go then..

if the team plays well then there is a good chance of no change going over for the freo game.

Armo needs to start working as hard as gears does in the VFL.

The 'revolving doors' dominate our bench...I thought this was an excellent opportunity to continue with Steven's development or pit Armo against an up and coming midfield, perhaps even test A. Smith in the real stuff, try Lynch as the lead up 3rd forward or let J. Smith feel the pace of AFL again.

Nothing against Geary, Eddy or Mcqualter but I just feel at times we are treading water with them in our side.

How does Eddy keep his place? If his game last week was enough to retain his place how bad does he have to play to lose it?
Seven possessions and 4 clangers says it all. But then this was up to his normal standard.

As Ross the Boss has shown quite a few times this year he will keep Players in for a few weeks before dropping them.

I can't believe everyone is so quick to write of Eddy, how many seasons has he played? And Geary, only very slightly more experienced.

Gee you people are alway going on about blooding players, I would have thought that was what we are doing. These guys are very young and inexperienced, they will not be champions overnight. For Gods sake, give them a fair go.

Seriously what is with people having a go at players all the time

Hi everyone,

I didn't watch the games last week, but everybody here seems to be judging Eddy on his low possession count. He is known for his large tank so I assume he played a midfield run-with type role.

Has anyone considered that he may have played a shut-down role on the opposition and perhaps did a very good job?

Like I said, I didn't watch the game, but let's just try and put performances into perspective by looking at which opposition player they played on, the quality of the opposition player, and their performance, before we judge.

I also watched last week's VFL game on TV and Armitage was the only player who looked up to AFL standard, however his endurance was questionable.

obviously they are not ready

the interchange is a vital component nowadays and too have "ifs" in there can put you straight behind the 8 ball if one or more aren't up to it or breakdown during the course of the game

good on them for having the virtue of patience with those you mention
and good on RL for his conservative steady format where team roles are paramount and " banking the 4 points" is the main aim

Actually, losing Moore is bad for the Tigers.

he was at chf on bock in the first half, when bock had about 18 possessions. it looked like a shutdown job, but it also looked like he failed.

Maybe it is Eddy's skill, he is a terrible kick. Also I think Armo has worked on his endurance as seen in a few games this year
