Armo in for the injured Dawson.

Geary/Steven to come in if Ross agrees with your eloquent assessment of #40!

I'm going to defend Eddy and say he should get another week in the team. Whilst he didn't light the world on fire, he is hard at the ball, doesn't shirk from a contest, and I don't think was noticeably dreadful with the ball.

Steven should not be considered this week, not after his Sandringham game on Saturday.
Armitage and Geary were the only Saint players who put their hands up on Saturday.

Eddy is crap.

Out Eddy In Armo.
So you'd have Armo in to create the forward pressure coz that's what Eddy's job was.

I've never seen a bad St.Kilda player - that's just how they are.

Out: Dawson (injured)

In: Geary

This begs the question do we need another tall defender?

Gaertner is still a work in progress and Johnson hasn't shown much. Could be on the shopping list next trade period.

Heyne in Eddy out .. like for like on the half forward flank

Heyne is quick and laid 5 tackles in his last game and provided good forward pressure .. and I think he kicked the quick, long ball down to Kosi who took that big mark against Essendon.

Heyne is more of a damaging player... should be given time to develop on the half forward flank... it's a difficult position which often gets bypassed - that will probably be so until he wins his team mate's trust... so he needs time there.

Also Zac out - Geary in

I really have a sneaky feeling Hardwick may bring back Morton this week with Zac a likely out, to try and stretch our defence? He said he was close to selection OTC on Monday, it would be the week to do so.

morton is 186cm and 80kg. he might kick goals, but not because of his height.

Out: Dawson
In: Geary

Richmond do have pace so Geary ahead of Armitage. Steven had apoor game at Sandy.
Heyne a chance also if Gwilt is to go back as a marking HF.

In the light of Zac's absense, I would have thought this the most likely scenario. I'm usually wrong though.

Eddy did bugger all.

Armo in for in and under clearances in the middle/around the ground.

Milne and Schneider should be able to create enough forward pressure.

Despite being quiet, can't see Lyon pulling Eddy after one game. Tends to offer players a couple of goes at it. Geary or Armo only ones genuinely worthy from VFL last weekend.

But, however unlikely, it would be mighty funny to see Walsh get the nod. Just wanted to say it. Same measurements as Zac. Won't happen.

It seems to me RL is rotating his youngsters ... giving them a few weeks on and then few weeks off ... keeping their young bodies fresh and giving them a taste and then back to the lower level to work on some areas where they need to improve and then back in for a few games ...

I think this is a deliberate strategy to allow these young players to gain more experience during the year and keep them fresh for the business end of the season after having played 6 to 12 games each.
