It will not matter which gate you enter except that randomly some staff will always be more diligent/officious than others on any day.Sainterman wrote:Think I would have just gone to another gate...
I posted pre-season a Warning that they were tightening up on Concession Tickets at Docklands this year.
ie They have installed new equipment, and extra video screens this season as well, at all entries that display the type of Ticket used.
This is new as in previous years the scanner could not discern (or at least not visiably display) Full Tickets from Concession Tickets. A different coloured light now flashes on the scanner, and if you look up there are VDU's monted so that supervisors can easily see waht each ticket is scanned at.
I have also noticed this year that for most games that there are more staff at each gate than in previous years. I presume to check tickets.
Not that I am a supporter of Collo, but it has been a well known rort at Docklands for years that Adults have been buying Concession tickets for cheap entry.
Just like travel on the train many concession tickets require proof of the concession.
In previous years they rarely checked. I have only ever had one daughter asked once and hat was last year when she when she was 18 arrived indepently. She had no ID, but after discussion and that she had SC Concession they eventially let her pass.
This year they are checking, and enforcing.
