Im afraid Saints fringe players kicking skills are lamentable atm
It's hard to get a read on forwards like Walsh and Lynch at this standard,as the delivery and forward thrusts are nothing like AFL level.
Bring back the Lockett era

Saunter drops a sitter and the ball comes streaming out
Sandy's forward pressure has been non-existant. THe ball just ricochets out if a mark isnt taken.
Having said that, The Zebs have been on the wrong end of just about every 50/50 umpiring call all day...but have let themselves down with some awful ground kicking.
Compare the Saints listed players wth Ballarats Urquart and Jones..who just hit targets every single time

Skills were poor. Very poor.
Armitage was very good.
Steven was quiet.
Walsh looked good up forward with a strong mark but made a terrible turnover in the defensive 50.
Dempster didn't look great.
Pattison is a spud.
Geary was alright but made a few mistakes.
Lynch did well when he got it but only 15 touches.
Also, Corey Jones kicked 1.6!
Armitage was very good.

For me, the only positive was Tommy Walsh, who looks like hes really gonna make it. 7 games in and showing some excellent signs. Interesting that early he was used at FF and Saunter up the ground
Apart from that, Armitage was good but faded, Geary got plenty of the footy but "his kicking lets him down too often" (commentators words). Lynch drifted in and out, Steven pretty much unsighted except when he was getting pinged for holding the ball. These are the four players that should be putting their hands up and demanding a spot in St Kildas side.
