Did well not to dive in after the footy either.

He knew Embley was going to ground to retrieve the ball and was smart not to go storming in giving away a free-kick for too high.

Just waited and then pounced. Had complete control of the situation.

It was a great lesson in perseverence to keep chasing even when it looks hopeless. His tackle to not give away a free kick was also terrific. A much under rated player although I suspect NOT by Ross & Co and his team mates

Bad miss but he, Kennedy and Le Cras are a dangerous forward line of the future IMO.

They seem to be two gun mids, a key defender and a running defender off being a pretty good side.

Try Judd, Cousins, Glass and Wirrpanda I guess.

No they were actually 5 points up with about 6.50 left in the quarter when he took possession.

considering how good a player he is and that he used to be a whipping boy, that's a good sign for Raph and Zac.

Although Fiora and Moyle used to be whipping boys too, so I guess sometimes the crowd is right.

Good player and does some inspirational things, i dont think he has been as good this year as last though? Feels like he has had a few kicked on him and some of his decision making, especially when he gets dragged out of the last line is a bit dodgy IMO.

Best 22 easily but has his share of negatives, Good GOP IMO if that makes any sense.

The backline has been really unsettled since we have been moving players around. Blake has had to take more challenging assignments with little back up this year.

He is a real rock back there and gets forgotten with the running defenders getting more of the lime light. He was a fumbling utility that got stuck on who ever we didn't have a real match up on. Now he is a genuine get out of gaol defender that really seems to withstand enormous pressure and always finds a way out.

Zac is a good example of how a cohesive defensive unit helps hide a few deficiencies, this year under pressure of one on one exposure he looks less of a player than last year. The real positive of the west coast game was a settled backline. Even Zac with one possy was not a bad thing, it meant the backs were not exposed one out to regularly.

It's actually interesting how Max-like Joe Blake has become especially with the spoils in the last line of defence. He seems to have learnt timing with the punch really well and times his jump at an opponent to perfection ATM. Well done Blakster.
